Ciao! Okay, well. 1) has the seedling been in a humidity dome? Or w/ a ziplock over it? And 2) no need to feed seedlings as there are nutes in your soil for several weeks. GL

I mixed a solution. A very weak one (one drop in distilled water) bc my soiless mix has no nutrients besides the. Nitrogen in peat moss.

Well buddy you shouldn't be given her nutes untill the ((cotyledon (yolk) for food/energy)) little round leaves start to wilt, and what was wrong with ur MG soil??

Hey mrCRC420, he just said he took it out of MG and put it in a soiless mix, it may not have nutes in it, and those lil round leaves are ther to feed the plant at least till the first set of real leaves show themselves...AND why would you put a humidity dome on a seeling??? I only use them for cloning.
And as for BlackConrad, don't feed until the 3rd or 4th week, and then only a 1/4 strength mix, and work your way to full strength and put a CFL light (26w 6500k) on her about 2 inches on top...here's one of my seelings at 16 days, no nutes and in MG soil..

and here's a few more in MG soil w/MG perlite..

transplanting always results in wilt, and that plant is way too small for any stress.

next time, let the plant get at least as big as the tomatoe plants in the garden shop in the 3" pots before you even consider transplanting. (2nd node well established, with at least 2 sets of full leafs)

early transplanting puts way too much stress on a seedling trying to create a root system with only cotyledons for support.

that plant may survive or may not, it's up the the gods of dope, so make your offerings and pray.

if this is your only plant, i would advise making offerings to Shen Nong, Cernunnos, Ganesha and the White Buffalo.

your problem is right there in your post, Miracl-Gro.
Yeah, I made the mistake of giving mine nutes to early...but those are coming back (they tried to die, but I gave WAY more than you did) and as far as Miracle Gro goes, I understand some people don't like it, but it works for me, you just have to find the soil that works for you. And there's good/bad advice on these pages and most growers are set in their ways, but the best of luck to ya.

he started in miracle grow potting mix, so unless he washed the roots clean, the plant will have ample nutrients (provided it survives) for a couple weeks just off the MG dirt clinging to the roots.

he probably just plopped the MG wad with the seedling into a hole in the coco coir, so yeah, he has no need of any nutrients for some time.

just the seed itself will sustain a seedling for 2 weeks or sometimes more.

Thanx bro, you'll be just fine trust me, and yes I'm new to growing, but unlike some people I have done my research. That was the best move I ever made in this adventure..."The Gow Bible" and "Marijuana Basics"...not to mention hours online with this site getting good/bad advice...lmao...
And don't listen to that woody character, he's a troll = he only puts down peoples grows and can't show one of his own!!!

I washed the roots as best i could but there was still mg soil stuck to the roots a little so i left it alone.
aww bro...

i never wash a root ball unless the plant has an infestation or has been poisoned with nutes or something wacky (no, salt is not a nute... really, dont even ask what kind of moron tries to fertilize a plant with table salt.. )

mircale gro isnt nearly as bad as most claim, it is in fact mostly a soil-less mix with artificial fertilizer added. you can grow good plants of any sort (except cacti) in miracle gro soil without any trouble, and after the first or second month it's a soil-less mix anyhow.

fresh new MG is a little too spicy for seedlings but it's not dirt from the base of chernobyl, or radioactive godzilla poop fresh from monster island.

if your transplanted seedling is gonna survive, youll have to be very careful not to over-water it, since it's gonna be highly vulnerable for a week or two, and dont transplant it again untill it has a well established second node and at least 2 sets of full leafs.

The trick with MG is not to water too much, because it doe have nutes in the soil...not much though...here's my soil mixes nute levels..

MG Garden soil
N-0.15
P-0.05
K-0.10

MG Perlite
N-0.04
P-0.01
K-0.06

So as you can see it's not really much but will sustain the seedling period, then I mix MG Cactus 2-7-7 and MG Houseplant 8-7-6 and feddin half strength to few and full to double on 1...

full to double on this 1..13 days into flower

13 days into 12-12.jpg
