Im Not A Outdoor Grower Ima More Of A Indoor Expert But I Just Decided To Throw Sum In Da Back Yard They Seem To Be Grown Good In The Dirt Jus Regular Dirt But Like I Sed Ima Expert Indoor Grower Never Really Had Any Problems But On My Outdoor Plants The Stem Purple So I Decided TO Give The Plant Some Miracle Grow Plant Food Good Idea Or Is It Another Prob Could It Be The Underground Bugs. I've Also Had Another Issue The Tips Of The Under Leaves Are Cut Off Like They Been Eatn But Could That Be The Case.
 
hey, you dont really need to be any sort of expert to grow outside. lots of sun, good soil and a small amount of TLC. the purple you have could be from cold temps. hows the weather been. it happens to mine all the time, cold nights make mine have purple leafs and stems. I wouldnt use any miracle grow unless your plant has at least 4 nodes andeven then use a weak solution (1/4 to 1/2 strength). I'm not sure about the tips beens eaten or not but it sounds like a bug or something ate some.
 
Wat I Mean I Know Nothing Of Outdoor Symtoms Like If It Indoor I Kno What It Probably Is Because I Control Everything Outdoor Is Nature Like Ive Never Had A Bug Problem But I Think It Could Be The Ants That Ate The Tips, Or Never had A Purple Stem Plus Its Just Regular Back Yard Dirt No N-P-K Or nothin But Good Lookn Man
 
I'm pretty sure that many young seedlings show purple stems for a few weeks until the stems thicken up. The five I have going did the same thing, and there's no way it had to do with low temperatures. It's 75-85 here during the day and about 65 at it's lowest during the night.
