moving from cfl to mh/hps need advies

finally ready to make that switch guys...found a nice deal on 2 fixtures with ballasts ,2mh bulbs and 2hps bulbs with 19" wing reflectors all for 336.00 bucks...my questions are ....will this get the job done and how long do the fixtures and bulbs last??

cfls are crap compared to hps you will defo not want to go back to cfls, the buds are allot more dense and sticky and in my experience it grows faster with hps and it gets the lower branches that cfl lights can not reach and a better yield

does anyone know wether 2 600 watt fixtures (19"length 18 And 1/2"width per fixture) will cover a 6 foot long 4 foot wide table

I glanced at a couple of your posts...do you use anything to contain the light? You will love the dank weed from MH/HPS :eyesmoke:

what do you mean contain my light??....and speaking of tents ...um tryna figure out how do you guys water your gals when you have like 30 gals boxed in....i find that tedious....but a table to walk around is much easier...imo

I think he means like walls or tent. If it is just in a wide open room then your light print will not be as focused. In a confined area you are getting much more light from reflection. If you are keeping them on the table you could put up some type of easily moveable sides around the table to reflect light. Move them when you water and examine, put them back around it.

ok... thanx guys... i have a mylar curtain for that....but ive been reading on my main question about how long the bulbs last on an hps and will 2 600watt hps lamps cover a 8x6 area...and i found that dam nobody on google has a definate yes or no...they keep sayin 1 600watter covers 4x4 5x5...im like fuck it ill see when i get them....lol!!

yes 2 will cover your dimensions and I replace my lights after several grows or when I see a good deal online. Enjoy!

ok...cool...i cant wait to see the difference between cfls and hps....im like a kid on xmas...lol...i wanna see how bright they get in person besides lookin at these pics online...cause ive never seen one shining in person...except for the street light poles

They last a long time. I gave one to a buddy that I had used for 2 years and he has used now for 2 years. He recently replaced it, not because it went out, because he ordered a 2nd light system that came with 2 bulbs.

are they as bright as everyone claims they are
