When to Switch Nutrients

I Bought two different types of nutrients One is Botanicare CNS17 Grow, and the other is Botanicare CNS17 Bloom. I just switched my lights over to 12/12 for flowering. I am wandering if I should switch to the bloom nutrients right away or still use grow nutrients. The bottles do not give much direction. Thanks for the help

It would be in your best interest to keep on grow for at least 2 weeks during transition to 12/12. They're about to explode with growth and extra N of your grow nutes is very much required.

I personally don't switch. I use a grow nute start to finish.

agree on the "keep on grow for at least 2 weeks"

dunno about keep using Veg all the way, IMO it might be a bit to much N. in it if you want to provide enough P.

I didn't recommend he kept on the grow.

My recommendation was for st least 2 weeks during transition.

Was merely stating what I personally do.

I grow in coco.

no dont use any of the veg/grow stuff in flower except maybe half your normal dose in the first week of flower. you dont want a whole lot of n in flower or your plants may burn and/or taste like chemical. there is usually enough N left in the plant if vegged properly and the bloom solutions have plenty. from my experience botanicare nutes are a bit strong. i would recommend there feeding chart except they go as high as 25ml per gallon with there bloom stuff. i went down to 15ml per gallon and still had a slight burn and my weed tasted like shit in a vape. not bad smoking it though. i always flush 2 weeks also with only plain water at the end. sometimes put in full darkness the last 2-3 days but i dont really notice much of a difference from it. also my strain is a hybrid and doesnt seem to like a lot of nutes so depending on your strain you may want to high a bit higher or lower than i recommended. kinda have to do little tests and find out for yourself. no 2 grows are the same so everyone will tell you different things. if i were you i would switch to pure blend pro instead of the cns17, they're more organic. remember, no matter how well you flush your plants, if you ever fed too strong you cant fix it. only the new growth and learn from next time. i've had plants i've flushed for an entire month and they still tasted like shit because i fed too much bloom and hardeners during flower. the buds looked perfect except before trimming the fan leaves had slight burning on the edges. i always recommend feeding very light. organic is easier because it breaks down faster and is harder to overdo. if flavor is what your going for which is usually very importatn if you vape, i wouldnt use synthetic nutes unless you have that strain dialed in and have a ppm meter. im trying a plant right now with just fox farm big bloom. completely organic and natural. hopefully the yield wont be effected too much. all my other plants im going synthetic though but i reduced my bloom to 10ml per gallon. also reduced my hardener to .5ml instead of 1ml. i add a few other things too like molasses, liquid karma, a little cal mag which has a little N also the reason why i dont like to add the grow during veg. also a T of FF big bloom every other watering. my ppms at my strongest feeding went down from 1400 to about 1100. hopefully my next crop will taste better in a vape. otherwise im switching to straight organic for everything. good luck bro!
