Small hard Pieces of white chalk like substance showing up on top of my coco, wth???

They look like small pieces of chalk. They're hard and crush to a chalky white dust. I'm 4 weeks into flower, anyone ever seen this?

Its going to be one of a couple of possibilities.

Either salt crystals. Not likely as it wouldn't be describable as chalky.

Or some perlite. Some coco manufacturers add small amounts of perlite into their mix.

my guess is very very hard water and you are looking at lime build up, hows your ph

Unless you got something horribly wrong... sounds like you're looking at some perlite from your soil/soil-less mix

It does look like perlite although I hadn't noticed it before. I'm using cana

PH is good, and I use a pure water filter. Never checked the ppm though.
