My first grow story and a possible problem

Hey everybody, I'm new at growing and I have a very bad feeling about how my plant's going.
First of all, I love this forum, I joined today to ask my question but I've been reading other threads for a while and they helped me out a lot.

So I have my baby for about 2 months. I bought a clone that was 6" tall and I had to bring it home but the temperature outside was about -15C. So the plant felt a lot of stress.
-------------------------------------------
General info :
-The plant is in veg for about 2 months.
-The light cycle is 16/8 and I'll turn it 12/12 when it is ready to flower.
- I am using this light : Green Gold Fluorescent Light 200W 6400K - http://www.megawatthydro.com/en/lighting-electrical/fluorescent-lighting/200w-compact-fluorescent-bulb-6400k-59170
-------------------------------------------
I will show you pictures of the plant.
So first picture is the night I bought it.

Second picture is the next day when I woke up. The stress caused by cold temp almost killed the plant.

So I cut all dead leaves. I wished new leaves would start growing.
And it worked pretty well

But now the plant has some "white hairs" on the nodes.
It is a bit more than a foot tall.
-Is this normal?
-Should I wait before turning light cycle to 12/12?

Some of the leaves turn yellow and are curved toward the light.

And why is it that small? The man who sold it to me grows for years and his plants normally grow 6 feet tall and more.

I hope I will find answers here. Thank you for reading my post.

1) Why is it so small? Size makes a difference.............to roots. And the abuse it suffered outside didn't do it any good.

2)When it's ready to flower? Um.......it IS flowering. That's what those white hairy looking things are.

3) How far away from the plant do you have your light? What are you feeding the plant?

The light is 2 feet above the plant. It was closer but leaves were drying up..even if the light releases no heat.
I use source water and I started to give it some nutrient for flowering plants. I don't know about how PH works, I'll be looking for it for my next grow. This one is more like a test.
The nutrient is called : PlantProd 15-30-15. I feed the plant with nutrient every two weeks as indicated on the nutrient label.

So should I turn the light cycle to 12/12 from now if it is already flowering?
I red that those white hairs are normal, they show the plant sex. Am I wrong?

Any chance she is an auto flower?
I don't know. The man who sold it to me doens't care about it. He starts the plants indoor and then put them outside for all summer long without doing anything. And the plants grow big and tall.

I want to grow this one indoor because of the winter and also because I do think it gives better weed.

Well outdoors takes a lot longer to grow than indoors. Thats why the plants outside grow so big. You could veg for 4 months if you wanted and top and train and yield a shit ton. Your light is way too far away. Cfl lights dont have a powerful light. so It needs to be close to the plant to be really effective. You might have to water a little more often when you lower it because your plants will pull more water up when the lights are closer. If you are already pre flowering like that, then yes, start 12/12. But your CFL light needs to be in the 2000k to 3000k light spectrum for Flowering.

Okay good to know thank you. So I need another lamp that is in the 200 - 300 light spectrum. That's okay.
And looking at the plant, do you think I will get some buds out of it? If so I know they will be tiny buds haha!

So I just changed the light cycle to 12/12 and put the light much closer (about 3-4 inches from the plant)

I'll let it go for some weeks and see how it grows. I'll post more pics of it :)

Thank you, more advices are welcome!

Yes you will still get some bud off it. Since its already flowering it means its a female. Assuming it doesnt hermi, or become a hermaphrodite, then you will get bud as long as you dont kill it during flower. Cant tell you how much bud you will get. But i would lolli-pop that plant since it has so much minimal low growth. What i mean by that is, remove the bottom 1/2 to 2/3 of your plant by cutting off all the lower branches and foilage leaves with a razor blade. This will make the plant send its nutrients and power to the higher part of the plant which will help fatten up the main cola at the top of the plant. Since you wont really yield much on that plant by leaving it the way it is. I would lolli pop it. Search around on how to do it to get more info. Its simple. But i would recommend it to help get the max yield from that plant.....

I use a mix of 2700/3000k and 6500k for both 3 to 1 ratio more 6500k for veg and more 2700/3000k for flower..

Thank you, for now on I have only one 6400K light so I'll try to do my best with it. But I'll keep it in mind when I'll start my next grow. I'll buy another light with a temp of around 2000 - 3000K. :)

I also cut a lot of leaves, that should help for flowering.

PS: In my older post I didn't mean 200-300 light spectrum but 2000 - 3000* haha

NO don't take any leaves off let them wilt and die on their own...they feed your buds near the end of flowering, they are there for a reason...lol

Avoid cutting off leaves, avoid using CFL/flourescent lights. That is your two big problems at this point.

Damn... I think I went the wrong way since the beginning... Haha! I'll learn from that!

I'll let the current leaves there and see how it goes haha. I understood in an erlier reply that I should trim some leaves about 3 inches from the bottom. So that's what I did hehe.
Next grow I'll be more prepared, and I'll start from a seed, not an outdoor clone...

Thanks a lot boys, I'll post some pics in a few days :)
