May have to take a trip to the south soon... namely Columbus, GA. Awesome pulled pork w/mustard sauce - some of the best going for the area can be had at 13th street BBQ :D

Im a pork slut myself, ribs are soo sinfully good :):):) i found out why i was curling my sugar leaves when i used my new ppm meter. The old blue meter like the one you have dank said 850 and my new one reads 1400. Holy crap. I was running one at 1200 with the old meter, damn i wonder what it really was. I was thinkin dank that if we both got the same beverage or somthing we could check yours. Ill dip my brand new meter in it and you dip yours in the same thing. Think it would work? :):):)
Yeah it would work bro.. but I didn't see it at first on the "blue meter" that we both have!! I was reading on the back of the package, and I was wondering how come none of my nutrient mixtures where not reading over 800- 1000!! Its because you gotta "look" super close to the ppm reading!! Because if its over 1000 ppm's it will have a tiny x2 # flashing right in the corner of the display screen!! And I didn't see that shit when I first got the damn thing!! So now I know. If there is a tiny x's 2 flashing your suppose to do some math!!

Sorry bro. Neen trying to keep up with the updates for you guys, just been super busy with bean orders, the 26 strains I have going, and the kids & wife.. but I promise I will get everyone up a few shots of the girls here in alittle while if that's cool.. I have had a bit of issues with my lighting in the wardrobe grow tent I made!! I gotta figure a way to make it easier when it comes to having to lower & raise the lights because of growth & putting new plants in there at night while the skunks & voodoo's & Bella are sleeping!! I am thinking I am going to just attatch the lights/cfl's to a 2x2 or 2x4 & then just attatch a pully system on both sides of the 2x4 & move it up & down like that. Idk yet, will have to sit & think about it a bit first..

You guys have to remember that some types of PPM meters will display different numbers, but both are 'right' based on the conversions that some do that others do not. Is it 500, 650, or 700 scale, or is it selectable? (The 500, 650, and 700 are the 3 most commonly used)

Copy/pasted example:

2.4EC x 500 = 1200ppm (500 scale)
1200ppm / 500 = 2.4EC

2.4EC x 700 = 1680ppm (700 scale)
1680ppm / 700 = 2.4EC

same EC, different PPM - can make a hell of a difference if you're not watching or know exactly what scale your meter is using. Figured I'd toss that in to save headache.

ya, i knew that. Mine just went out of whack and i was thinking of a way we could test yours to see if its doing the same thing :)

use a 2x4 and screw it into the rafter in the ceiling. Not the drywall, the rafter. I put in a screw to make sure i hit wood first and then take it out and get the 2x4 up there.

Well how do i figure out what my new stick is based on and what i should be running? This just confused the hell outta me :(

Ninja, if you google the type you got, and check the specs - it'll tell you :) It should also be in the lil' book that came with it too. They can't just randomly ship meters like that without a baseline to work with, especially the higher end ones.

I spent the like 9 bucks and got some of the adjustable light hangs I love em. They hold my 1k with no problem.
Yeah, this would be for the 5 cfl's I have hanging down in the grow tent I made bro. So I was thinking about attaching them all along the flat side of a say 2x4, and then having like a pully system on both sides of the 2x4 so I can just adjust the both sides, and move it up & down which ever needed..

The way it is now, I am having to move them up in the mornings to adjust for the bigger flowering skunks & voodoo's & bella, then move it down at night for the blueberry, and other ones I have in at night. Its getting to be a pain in the ass I know that much though!! And I got super pissed off the other night, I came home to find out that one of the lights hanging in the tent had slipped down and went right into the damn middle of one of the purple voodoo's burning a branch & the tops of a limb or two!! Damn it is pissing me off!! That was my best looking voodoo to!! :cuss:

Yeah, haha, I would attatch it to a "rafter"/stud in the ceiling if that's where the lights where bro.. but the lights I am talking about are in my "grow tent" I made.. remember the one I posted up?? Well all it has for me to attatch anything to is a pole running side to side for someone to say hang clothes on..

oh and fig, i checked my new stick and it has x700 and x500 but theyre different ppms?? Which one does a guy go by?

500 for most comments/formulas related to US and surrounding areas.. 700 for UK conversions.

As for the 700 scale, that's what measures the KCl in said solution, the 500 scale is good for measuring NaCl... 500 scale is used for TDS.

Dank you may be able to do this, i made it with a hole saw and some metal tubing with screw together corners, just a thought. The 2x4s on the ground hold it stable in the holes. If you want more stability double them 2x4s up for a deeper hole lol. :):):)
