at 4 weeks is it too late?

Northern lights, were transplanted burying the stems and seem to be doing great... short and bushy. Is it a good time to do some lst and maybe top or fim or something. They seem to be really thriving right now...

Also popped in some freebie autos about a week later... same question for them

Any added details will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

4 weeks into flower or veg? If veg, you can lst any time, just give them a week to heal before jumping into flower if possible

Even if you are going to flower you can still do some lst. Make sure you don't snap any branches though

Sorry... veg.

Cfl coco hempy, using the maxibloom "KISS" method for nutes. First timer but I gotta say that I'm liking it.

What about topping... should I try it?

I just tried topping for my first time. Noticeably slowed my growth to only gain one top. I tied down tops last time and it didn't stunt them at all. Think I'll try fim'ing next. If I'm going to cut on the girls I need to gain 3 additional tops minimum as I can get at least 4 from tying down one top

I have 9 babies 3 wks old and femmed them yesterday. They all look healthy. How long should I wait to begin 12/12? Also when curing can you use tupperware instead of mason jars?

I'd recommend it, but you do need a week or two between topping and starting flowering, so heads up. With LST I've done it through the whole grow no issues because its not damaging the plant at all just moving it and the plant grows different ways because of the position, topping takes a bit of time to heal though. I do both during veg and especially with cfls you'd want to so that you can have a solid canopy rather than a couple of long colas because they are harder to cover with light, instead you'd have many medium sized solid colas :)

as for drkinggreen id suggest combining topping and LST to get many tops top once and you have two tops to tie down so twice the extra tops after that

There is a great thread on here regarding topping for 4 tops. Started by uncle Ben in advanced growing techniques. A must read and how I have been doing it. Basically topping after the 2nd true node giving you 4 tops. If you don't top to early waiting until you ha e about 6-7 nodes and your plant is healthy topping should not harm or slow growth to much if at all. My plants when topped don't show any stress and the new tops spurt up right away. Be careful more tops does not mean more buds above 4 tops and you start getting smaller colas just more.
