The colas on my un-lollipopped girls that got 1w 18/6 then went 12/12 are already bigger then all the colas I had my first time around!
More leaves means more solid buds all the way down the stem. Less leave mean smaller buds that don't really end up connecting into that fat ass cola that goes down to the bottom!
Gonna take pics or my girls a little later and I'll let you see the diff bro.

I'll definitely sub up to the test. I can't find the threads with controlled experiments I was looking at before, so it would be nice to have one handy when I come across such ideas. Always nice to be able to see test and results all in one place vs a bunch of people just popping off at the mouth

About 27 tops & Lollipopped. The Yield was 2.7oz. Vegged under CFL. Flowered under CFL/T5VHO/150wHPS.

And yeah, I guess the could kinda be trolls....But maybe there's some kinda method to the madness that we've yet to discover..Why stop looking?
I think you just gotta do it the smart way...

For example...the plants will continue ascending in the number of blades per leaf up the plant until you hit 11...After that it stays or begins to decrease once flowering is induced, all the way back until each leaf is just single leaflet along the top of the buds....So say you defoliate more and more and more in veg, while doing other things like LST or supercropping, until you have just a wave of eleven fingered leaves or something ya know?!

There's possibility I'm sure...

And I'm kinda shocked I just thought of what I just said lol because this is a first time for the thought.
But I've notice that the leaves stay on a certain amount of "fingers" per leaf when transitioning from veg to flower, so make you can defoliate to eventually produced the biggest possible fan leaves and trigger flower??? IDK lol but yeah....

I had actually planned on doing a test next run because my weed guy (only for another couple weeks =D) is so dead set on it! I decided it wasn't worth the time though because I really want to invest my time in crossing my Purple OG and my chemdawg next run. Hopefully I can get the trichs of the cd along with the massive yield of my og strain. May take several crosses to perfect, but I'll get it. Gonna call it OG King Kush or Purple King Kush

Yea, that's very true, but I feel he keeps on top of his research enough to not let himself look wrong (God forbid!!! lol)

And that's a good theory. I feel if someone else had discovered that they may let us know instead of just saying "lollipop!" If someone does already know that to be successful method, they're an asshole for not informing us!

I think my wwg13 only has 9 leafs and my og has 13 in a couple of spots lol. May have to go count again when lights come on to reconfirm though. Botany is so damn interesting, especially the genetic aspects

I have heard that Clones tend to grow smaller than the mother and need a longer veg time.

Is this true or false (speak from experience) thank you.

I somehow missed this post. Congrats on your first successful clone! Took me until my third set to succeed. Not I use the most ghetto method possible, but haven't lost one since. I thinks it's all about the cut. The environment helps, but my best success is with no dome, house never gets over 74, and a heating mat. I'm sure higher temps would help them root faster, but f it. I'm at 100% clone rate now so I'll leave it.
Being that your clone has the same exact genetics as the mother, you should expect similar size and similar node spacing given the same conditions. I think the longer veg time is because they take a couple weeks to root and people consider the time spent developing solid roots as veg

Yeah, just jumped in with some basic knowledge and water.

Watched them die one by one, but this one pulled through potted her after 3 long weeks cloning.

Got my last clone under the dome, and heating mat now, showing slight signs of root, hope she makes it.

Gonna pot up Clone 1, hopefully pot Clone 2 in a couple days.

Got a clone kit coming with various gels, pellets and instructions so looking forward to a lower mortality rate.

Yea, UB can be an asshole, but he gave me the best advice I have received on this forum one of my first days here. If it weren't for that advice I would be failing, I'm certain. He said something along the lines of, don't be a dumbass and go read read read until you understand plant function. THEN begin growing. That man shows a lack of respect for a lot of people, but at this point I'm almost on his side. People pushing pruning and lollipopping saying that it makes plants produce more have got to be trolling... I mean don't they? It just goes against every grain of botanical science. Until the science is proven wrong (and it will only be with more science lol), I'll stick to it. He has been growing for something like 45 years or something insane. He definitely knows his shit.

Not trolling at all, speaking from expirience where there were five trainwrecks and they were all kinda crappy and leggy but the last one to go in was the worst and i asked a friend if i could have my way with her and bam, that was the best plant of them all. The others had small popcorn all the way down to the bottom and one nice bud per stem. And the lollied one had long sellable big buds. UB can be so stupid sometimes too though, like all of us. Well... His idea of a defoliation expirement was to defoliate half a plant. Like one side of it. And then see which SIDE of the plant yielded more lmao. They both yielded the same is what he said, but seriously...thats the stupidest expirement ive ever heard of. Ive had to mass strip plants because of spidermight damage in early veg or PM in late 3 month veg and they do fine, theres still a massive ball of roots down there and a huge stem full of goods. That doesnt change. I cant wait to see the results of the test. Ive got a bunch going in soon and im testing it too, also one more thing. Probably a bloom hardener. I dont think any answer is always right in regards to defoliating. Id have crap bud if i didnt do it, PM would destroy everything and its not like it hurts my yields, my next plant will have about 6 oz coming off it and she was lolypopped minorly after two weeks.

It was on a defoliation thread and he was just trolling the op so didnt feel bad crackin on him. And i think the girl your probably talking about is unlucky One of my biggest pet peeves is people making a statement like dont flush, but then not explaining that at the end of the plants life you only need to give her low doses of nutes like almost non exsistant. So then the person they told this too keeps feeding 1000 ppm right to harvest. Blanket statements are so dumb lol
