My mom and dad got into that argument a little before I was born. She told me years later that it was a decision I should make for myself. She had a moral issue with hacking things off of my body for the sake of being "normal".

It seems to me, when I was younger, more of my girlfriends preferred snipped. I think it was because it was uncommon to be un-snipped in my culture and they were shocked when they came across one that wasn't. Now that I'm older, it seems to have changed my friends like them either way. It use to be paid for in this country, now it has to be paid for by the parents. My doctor refuses to do them and sends his patients else where if they want it done to their sons.

Call me what ever you like but I had my son snipped, yes I understand both sides and chose for my son. For me the pros out weighed the cons it was that simple, no ideology involved. I totally don't judge anyone who has their son circumcised. I see both sides too and many men what their sons to look like them. My husband was really the one who decided for our sons, he was snipped and resented the fact that he was. Up until talking with him about it, I'd never really given it much thought. I believe though, people really do need to consider it more before just doing it for tradition. I guess you can't really miss what you never had. My brother misses it because he had it.
