Soil Ph Question

Hey All

Ive recently read that when growing in soil i should not adjust the ph on yout solution because of the lime in the soil acts as a ph buffer.
I was hyped.
Im placing my plants in 10 gallon buckets with 50/50 ocean forest, happy frog on May 1st.
So my question is, because i dont imagine my plants will be finished untill october or so, will the lime in these soils preform its function throughout the whole grow, or will i eventually have to begin PH'ing my soil in the later following months?
Thank you

For the past few years, I've done nothing but soil grows with FFOF and I have
never had to ph my soil and my plants always thrive till
the end whether I use used soil, new soil or both together.
I'm not sure about FF mixed with Happy Frog though.
This might be another story.

bagged soils are usually ok as far as ph right out of the bag so there probably isnt any need for lime
I wouldn't plan on using lime unless i had to, im just worried that in october/september when the plants are blooming and need a good ph, that because i put them in the same pots 5 months ago, that the lime might have gotten washed away, deteriorated, or something

I've never used lime, and my tap comes out at 7.9, and after nutes it is around 6.0....
I usually feed every other water, sometimes every water, but lately my plants been drinking heavy like me, and still nice and green, not showing signs of hunger, so I have gone almost a week without nutes, but I have never had a problem with PH.
I use MG moisture control, with about 40% MG perlite added in and start feeding around day 21-25 from sprout.
