Yes,these florecent tubes are abt a little more than 1/4" dia, one 24 inch T5 would be perfect for you grow space you can get them here, the cheepest I've found........http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/Index563c.html?url=IND

so either one would work great my plats are about 5 cm tall when will i need to put them under light and how far away from the lights. how many hours ect.

Cubord is 6 feet high 2 feet wide and 2 feet deep its just for 1 plat maybe 1 more if there's enough room. I thought my 7cm fan would work great to extract the air woud and another fan the same inside to circulate the air.

Possably but T5's is your best bet, well worth it and you'll get a better grow.

Don't use compost, it's not meant for indoors. Potting soil is what you need and a good book on growing reefer wouldn't hurt either.. Peace
