Have you or anyone you know stole power? i was laughing cause a guy i know just got caught in my hometown. led the cops to his measly 50 plants. fuck, why bother for that.

i would never steal power personally, but im curious why others have/do.

Stealing power to grow weed gives the rest of us a bad name.
If you care about moving forward the cause for legalizing weed,
don't steal power or do anything else that might give marijuana a bad name

If you read the post you will notice the two different tenses used. He asked people if they HAVE stolen power, as in something they did in the past, and then at the states that if they CURRENTLY steal power, to keep it to themselves, as in something they are doing right now.

I personally don't steal.

But in the UK I can understand why someone would contemplate it with a big grow.

To run my 400w with dehumidifier and fans etc costs me on average £26 a month extra.

When I was using my full 600w setup with all the bells and whistles it was around £48 per month.

Multiply that that by say 6x600w and that £288 a month on electric or about $400.

I couldnt afford that along with my normal household utility use costs.

I know that in the end you could reap the rewards but I would be broke with that kind of wattage use and would probably contemplate it for one grow.

Thankfully though I don't and won't ever use that kind of wattage unless it ever becomes MMJ able in the UK. If that time ever comes then im leaving my job and setting up a company to grow. Lol.

Bare in mind though that anyone on that many lights is on that many lights not because they need a big joint, they are selling pounds of weed and making a fortune, making that power bill seem quite insignificant.

I do understand that. Hence my comment about reaping the rewards.

However like I stated, that kind of money in either a token prepaid meter or a direct debit instruction per month extra to what I already pay would break me to get to harvest date.

Some folks still put all their money into setup and don't factor in power usage/costs.

Sorry I was not trying to ruin your thread or be a know-it-all though you would not be the first person to accuse me of that particular failing. I was actually trying to keep the same type of idiot who would steal power from incriminating themselves. Because they are that 'kind' of stupid.

Man up, come up with a logical reason for an upgraded service, and consider it a cost of doing business... besides, by the time you need to steal electricity, you're already making enough money from distributing anyways, no?

I was always under the assumption that it was gangs running grow houses, for maximum profit who stole power. Not least because they want to make the most money possible but also because they often employ illegal immigrants as house sitters/ gardeners, so they couldn't give a shit if the house is raided anyway.
