The truth about minimum wage and income inequality

when you're chopping and hanging large plants, it does not take seconds. and unless you want to crush the buds, you only take a couple branches at a time from the greenhouse to the drying room.*

and i'd love to see you manicure a bud the size of a forearm in 1 minute. you're just talking out of your ass now.

an outdoor grow has several trims because of the large quantity involved. you'll drive yourself crazy if you try to manicure for perfect bag appeal on the first go. get the large stuff, let it dry more, get a closer trim, and do a final manicure before they go to curing. considering that i live in a market with some of the highest competition, lowest prices, and greatest availability, a top shelf manicure is absolutely paramount unless i enjoy wasting the time i put into the grow.

and for your edification, i will be doing 160+ hour weeks here shortly, and it won't stop until after the harvest is sitting in my closet come november.
All your buds are the size of your forearm? Don't you knock them down in size a bit so they will actually fit in a jar and are easier to trim? Seems logical to me, but I am not from Oregon. You folks might do things differently up there.

160 hour weeks eh? Might as well just go for the full 168 hours of intense physical labor like me for 49 years straight so far and stop being such a pussy all the time. 160 hour weeks is WEAK!! I am currently cleaning out the bottom of a grain silo as I type this, arrghhh!

Edit: I also find trimming while the plant is fresh to be the best time tio trim because those little leaves stick straight out, they tend to wilt if you let them sit too long and then you really gotta try to get in there with the tips of your pro Fiskars and you end up cutting your other finger, it just sucks.

I usually am birthing a cow or helping to herd sheep when I harvest, how about you? I like to keep busy.

Whats a pound of decent nug go for in the Pacific NW anyway? $3k a pound or more?

what is it called when a person is required to be at a certain place and performing certain tasks at certain times in order to provide for their livelihood?

top shelf indoor won't go for more than $2500 here, probably closer to $2k though.

outdoor? forget about it. everyone and their brother has a few pounds to move come october and november, i have to lay low and wait for them to sell out before i start moving mine in december and january.

i'm gonna get a jump on the flood this year though, i've got a light deprivation greenhouse pretty much all ready to go. first early night starts tomorrow night.

Work?

You mean to tell me that your treadmills are what pays all the bills and your wife sucks it all off of you?
Here i had you pegged wrong the whole time, thinking you were the leach and your wife was in College and actually going to graduate so you wouldn't have to. Here all along you were the one only getting 2 to 3 hours of sleep per year. Makes for a bunch of bad hair days! Poor baby waby. NoDrama knows how hard it can be, try 49 years of no sleep.

PUSSY!

My buds are 19 feet long and on average weigh 13 tons, but still it only takes a minute or so to manicure cuz i got a 14 foot pair of fiskars.

Suck it!

$2,000?

No wonder you live on $.99 loafs of bread. You are as poor as a little church mouse.

I can't. Gotta work that 168 hour week 52 weeks a year. I harvest every 30 days.

I imagine it takes some effort for you to sell it all too.

i used to be close to broke at times, but never poor.

and nowadays i'm doing just fine.
You ever think of growing perpetually indoors so you don't have to put so much time into it? I seriously do not spend more than 8 hours a month taking care of shit, harvest day is another 6 hours or so. Clone day is 2 hours. Less than 15 minutes each day making sure water, PH and nute levels are correct. Adjustment for each table takes less than 5 minutes each. Hydro is MUCh more labor intensive growing than soil, and you are a soil man are you not?

i do grow perpetually indoors in addition to my annual summer grow outside. takes me more than 8 hours a month for sure, but it's not a whole hell of a lot of work. which is why i am able to take it nice and easy in the winter.

Maybe you move slow, or get so high it takes you an hour to remember what you were doing? Happens to me from time to time, might be early senility too.

how do you suppose i make it take less time to guard my plants for 4 months? should i speed up the rotation of the earth? wouldn't that just throw off my flower cycle?

ahhhhh so THATS what the deal is, you have to guard your grow or some punk kid is going to ruin in 5 minutes what took you 6 months to accomplish. I see.

Ever thought of an alarm system? They aren't very expensive and can do a lot of things.

You could speed up the earth by chopping down tall trees and crashing airplanes into skyscrapers so they fall down. By decreasing the amount of mass spinning on the outside edge of the earth will cause it to spin faster, making your grow go much faster, maybe only a couple of weeks if you get every tree and tall building.

this concept is illuistrated by the ice skating ballerina who spins even faster as she pulls her arms and legs in closer to her body.

i've got plenty of alarms and deterrents.

if an alarm goes off and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

Why would you need to be there to be notified of an alarm? The alarm can text you ,call your cell, interrupt your computer porn session to notify you, hell it can start cameras rolling, turn light on or off, start any electrical device, have things set on multiple timers, You can call your alarm and hear and talk to the intruders through the keypad. You do have a cellular phone don't you?

I don't think you really understand what a security system can really do for you.

A big siren can be a nice deterrent, especially when backed up with strobe and flood lights.

But its really Much easier to have no noises, but just have guys with guns show up instead to actually catch the fucker who doesn't realize he tripped the alarm 10 minutes before.

you're right, it's probably best that i leave what might as well be $20k worth of 5 dollar bills under the protection of an inanimate chirping piece of plastic.

i bet the blurry picture of masked people will be worth just as much to me.

you're a pioneer off your times!

I suggest you just stay awake at night worrying about punk kid rippers then. Have a nice summer.

i think i'll do just that.

and if spring is any indication, it's gonna be a hell of a summer. it's been so hot and dry that i had to water the rest of my garden area just to till it. otherwise i would just be making a dust garden. gonna till the next two days and plant the corn on cinco de mayo. 1200+ stalks this year.

An alarm is only useful if you're close enough to respond to it. If you grow outdoors in a populated area; you're going to attract rippers. If you can spit and hit your neighbors, you need a night guard during flower season.

the retarded neighborhood kids here are so dumb that they thought the veg plants they stole last year were bud, so guarding here is necessary any time i have plants out.

plus, with the privilege of growing comes the responsibility. i am responsible to keep these plants out of the wrong hands.
