What risks have you taken in your life?

(thread taken from another forum I frequent, I thought it was a great question to pose here)

So what risks have you taken in your life? How'd it turn out? Was it a small risk that eventually turned out to be a life changing risk? Or a big risk that blew up in your face and didn't turn out the way you expected?

fuck maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan i wouldn't know were to start........... what are you looking for here advice on something or just entertainment?

What risks have I not taken ? This is the most appropriate question for myself . Life has always been a risk for me and the way I live , lifes to damn short to not take risks everyday .
The more you take the more one feels most alive !

Adrenaline Junkie I am and I admit it lol .

Every single day. I ride a bike!!

I'm not elaborating on the risks I've taken in my life but I will say this :- If you risk nothing, you risk everything.

When I became pregnant with my last child(23yrs ago) I was told by the doctors at the hospital that I should terminate the pregnancy as I needed urgent laser treatment on my cervix for cancer cells, they said the pregnancy would make the cancer cells reproduce more quickly and by the time I was ready to give birth it may be to late to treat. I refused, my mum wouldn't speak to me she told me I was selfish and wasn't thinking about my other two children, my husband said much the same but their was no way I was going to terminate the pregnancy. I had monthly checks to make sure the cells were stable and nine months later I had my son and he was healthy and I was still okay, I had an emergency hysterectomy after he was born and I lived to tell the tale. I often look at my son at the fine young man he is and thank god I made the right decision I took a gamble and it worked out fine.
