Water Retention Crystals?

Hi all,

Do these products work well enough to justify the time/expense for in-grounds?. They aren't cheap, so figured I would ask those who have used this method in the past.

TY in advance for any input.

They work well for outdoor grows that you can't always get to water at ideal times, i.e. you can't visit them enough and they tend to get dry.

Yes,they defiantly work wonders,a handful in each hole will work magic for the plants, perfect if u have numerous plants that u want to set and forget until later in the season, just make sure there are no crystal on the first few inches of soil as they expand greatly when they are wet,if they are on the top few inches they can push out of the ground when they swell
an 8lb bucket is only $80 and they go a long way, some come with no fertilizer and some come with a 7-7-7 fert, I have never used the one with ferts,I personally use the soil moist brand

Oddly enough, the only brand I can find at garden centers is miracle grow...fortunately they don't put nutes in their water crystals.

I just saw a small bag at Wally World... I wondered if they work also...
They were not that much, and not a MG product... I Heart MG ....haha...
Anyway, I think I will pick up a couple of bags tonight, or tomorrow....
Thanks for input also...
So, you put the crystals in soil dry? Or do you pre wet them and burry the things wet around plant roots...
