Fair enough.... but the fact is he DID step up and out back when no one else did.
Seems to me a long ... long time ago in a galaxy far away.... when I first started smoking... there was no internet... nowhere to sit in my own house and simply click on a link and magically be given sites galore to buy seeds from.... or information on how to grow.
We have the internet now... but it wasn't so long ago we didn't. I think many of the breeders and experienced growers today learned a thing or two from Jorge somewhere along the way.
Like him or not.... I don't think it's fair to label him a "scam artist". Things change over the years ... technology and grow methods improve with each year..... now we have a mechanism in place to let us talk to one another and get information at ease in our own homes.
I don't know if Jorge's advice is good or not (by experienced growers standards)... but I have one of his books and it's helped me the same as this site has. If he's trying to make a buck to pay his mortgage based on years of back breaking work and research (when no one else did) then I think he deserves to do so without flack... in fact I think he might even deserve a little kudos for being a trailblazer.

makes sense to me... cannabis has become way too commercial anyway... half of the stoners out there are derelict punk ass kids,, who are going to end up shooting up by 20... whatever,, he saw a market and took hold... can you blame him? he is too weak to resist his humanly urge to be rich
he took the love and passion for growing and turned it into a house payment. it happens to the best of them. this is why i refuse to sell seeds, write a book, or open any type of knowledge for income doors. the minute you put a price on it it's over. i "vend" to the clubs to keep myself where i was before this all started. i will never seek anything more than what i truly need. i don't want to be famous. i don't insist upon "respect". i help those i can and look for nothing in return. did you see his comment? that was just flat out rude. that is coming from a guy who is supposed to be helping his fellow "brothers and sisters". it sounds to me he would have no problem taking my money and running on an "illegal" deal. i'm not saying he would but it appears his conscience might.

They all get into it because they LOVE the music ... right? But then they see the $$$$ and big houses and fancy cars.... and private jets... and naked groupies..... sure they still love the music... but they sell their music to those who will pay for it. Is that wrong? Are they all sellouts? If you say "yes" and own even ONE CD then you are contributing to their "selling out" and are a hypocrite!
How can you consider your talents as a grower not equal to those that know how to make music or build a house or argue in a court of law? How can you view charging for the knowledge you've learned any different then any education someone got from Harvard?
Personally I think your view that what you do and have to offer isn't worthy of a salary commensurate to your experience is foolish. Don't get me wrong... I was born in the sixties... raised in the seveties and eighties..... so I GET IT where you are coming from. It's just that those years are ... well in the past

So then you don't own any software.... music CDs .... or anything else? WTF? I don't get why people think marijuana is some "holy grail" that no one should pay for the learning?
People pay money to go to school to learn how to build houses, make music, run a business, paint paintings, etc. etc.... Why do we have this mentality that the art of growing marijuana is somehow different and should NEVER be a profit business? I just don't get it!

A good chunk of Jorge HT's salary must come from "Legal Bud" ads. Snake oil. Scams. Call them what you will. Isn't there a line you draw as to where your money comes from? Ignoring his books, what about that money? Seems the very definition of selling out.
