vacuum packing alot of seeds?

i have alot seeds from diff strains/crosses right now from my previous grows i'm storing some in glass vials with silica gel, some in small glass jars in the fridge
i was wondering if vacuum packing with silica gel is good for storing seeds or should i just buy more glass vials and silica gel? or perhaps glass jars?
whats the pros & cons of glass containers vs vacuum packing?

I have always just stored my seeds in a wooden box in zip bags with no ill affect.
My local seedbank/grow shop store them in the fridge , as the bloke in the shop is a cretin I never did ask him why.....

I'll be storing them long term but i dont know if vacuum sealing will work. I already have a portable vacuum sealer so no prob with that.
I keep my collection in vials with silica gel in a glass jar with rice, i germed some 2+ year old seeds three months ago and had 100% germ rate.

So i am guessing then that the main Aim is to keep all the moisture away ? Im guessing that's what the rice and Gel would achieve ?
I believe our beloved beans do not need Air so I can not see a reason why it should not be ok ,

alright guys, i'm going to do both in vials and vacuum(25/portion with silica gel) and see the results after a couple of years i'll let you know in the near future haha
