Organic grown wheat contains GM impurities

MOM!!!?!?! What is impurity monstrosity?

Shut up kid and eat your dirt. It's all we got.

Can't GM wheat still be grown "organically"?

Isn't Roundup a synthesised version of a naturally occurring chemical compound?

Does any sane person really give a fuck?

My inclination is to say, no, no sane person is worried about GM crops. On the other hand, the "Monsanto cannabis" thread is going on twenty million posts, so sanity might be in extremely short supply.

Actually, I agree, to an extent. Without it, and with an expanding population we are going to have significant problems, I think.
That and the fact that pests are becoming tolerant to pesticides. Either we make stronger pesticides or gm the crops. I understand the plight of the environmentalists but I think they are coming from an idealist pov rather than a realistic pov.

On the anti-GM point, the environmentalists are coming from a religious point of view. Their objections to GM crops are based in superstition and they are being steered by rent-seeking cronies looking to feather their own nests.

Yes, we cannot fool mother nature. These pests are way up on us and always have been. I did read the pests have won, in the Roundup Ready arena.

Monsanto is bragging about coming to the rescue with some of the classic poisons....I can't pronounce. Corn is ready for that....isn't it? What Hark said.

yes, one would have to be insane to harbor any concern over the near complete transformation of the food supply

do you ever bother to listen to how self righteous and retarded you sound?

that's odd.

the only ones worshipping here seem to be the ones worshipping at the altar of monsanto.

it's always a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket without checking for holes in the basket first, eh?

delusional, self righteous crap is all you can spew.

Yeah I get what your saying and you have a good point. So do you totally disagree with using GM food crops? What's your view?

I do, as there's no independent testing, FDA is in bed with Monsanto, a company that mostly makes poisons and will not guarantee their products are safe for human consumption in either the short or long term. Food is now a weapon, I don't think the control of seed should rest in the hands of private corps. with a "killer" history...

according to the resident rat, you are now both insane and a religious nut.

thus spake desert douche.

Yes, all good points. I think that if smaller localised scientific companies got into the game we might have some forward progress. I believe it would create jobs, broaden our scientific exploration and create food. I whole heartedly agree that independent testing should be done to insure safety.

On the flip side, if we changed our farming cultural practices things could improve as well. Quit growing corn and cotton for starters.

Edit: By "our" I mean the whole world.

there are no words to describe how fundamentally stupid this statement is.
