Halting plant growth...

what is the best way to stop plants from growing much without them suffering stress / dying.
I have limited space and all my flower tents are full and wont be done for at least 6 more weeks...

i started a new Trainwreck clone mom, which i was going to chop up for the next batch and it is growing nicely...
too nicely. i also just received a bunch of cuttings that i didnt expect and want to do them before the Trainwreck.

So i guess my question is what is the best way to stop the vegging of the trainwreck it is growing extremely fast...

should i just keep chopping branches and tossing them as it grows?
should i chop the whole trainwreck mom and try and get the clones to grow slowly?
should i just toss the whole trainwreck and not worry bout it...

My friend keeps cuts in what he calls 'cold storage'. He keeps 8 cuts under a 100w cfl in temps of 10/15 degrees C. The cold basically stops growth. They get watered once a week i think and he keeps them like that for weeks.

If you'#ve no room to grow the cuttings, just bin them, when you do have room, they'll be new growth to turn into clones.

I only ever grew about 4 plants at a time so my mother was always far too large for it's purpose, so i'd often just hack 75% of the plant off and let it start growing back up again.

Careful with the cuttin on the trainwreck alot of mine hermied on me..38 seeds for 24 zips. All mine came from clones so who knows, I hear they like to herm on the last few weeks of flower but all my seeds came out big and mature so I think they were makin few a little longer then a couple weeks

if i put the clones in tiny cups what happens when they get rootbound? maybe that is the answer...
Thats what I do... I put things in my flower room and I wont add anything else til they are done. I have clones in party cups rooted with no medium, and seedlings sprouted that only get water for a month until I am ready to veg. Some leaves will yellow but once you start your nutrients it takes off no prob. And they will all roughly be the same size

Throwing cuttings away is like chopping and throwing ya prize nugs...... it hurts. Do you throw your children away because there is no space in the bedroom?? I would rather bin the missus than throw cuttings, it is just too painful. It's simple, move to a bigger house or sell those cuttings lol. £5 each here is blighty, a bit less when going upto hundreds. Be ready though, if ya mother is big and bushy now, it will be twice as bushy a month after you raped her. More clones to sell Yeah.

i'm not sure the reception i'll recieve, but hey, it works for me. i take cuttings from my flowering plants. they are usually taken when they have formed a nice head of pistils - very few trichs, if any. they take a little longer to root, but have better success IMO. the benefit to this technique are squat plants with very little stretch. extreme branching. these things have multiple solid stems starting right at the soil line. i think that since the cutting is full of flower hormones flowering is induced faster - so very little stretch. i've never had a plant hermie on me, but i have had deformed seed pods which i usually remove during growth. strain grown is Nirvana's Pure Power Plant. i can post pics of my success if anyone asks.

Superclones....... Can take an age to convert back to veg but WOW, what ia difference in growth and branching.
