i know this product is not completely organic, and ive been using it for a while and it works great. ive recently decided to go organic but for my first organic grow im not worried about being all organic, just dont want to have any salts affecting the soil life. the guy at my hydro store said that house and garden are very big on mixing organic and snythetic, and since im only using one of their products im fine with that for now, but what i want to know is if the other ingredients in RE gonna affect the health of the soil or at all negatively effect ii in any way. also i wanted to know if me PHing my nutrients is hurting any of the life, because i just recently saw a thread where someone said ph solution kills your organics and you shouldnt need to ph, but even with me PHing im still getting some PH problems showing.

I was going to say "because no one knows what it's made out of"... then I decided to google it.
On their page it say:
"House & Garden Roots Excelurator creates a film around the roots, which functions as a kind of membrane. It keeps harmful diseases and germs out of the root zone, but allows the absorption of nutrient. Roots Excelurator also isolates the micro organisms which create root disease and stops their reproduction."
Which to me says no this is not organic- it disrupts and kills micro organisms in the soil. Organic gardening is all about building up a living soil. This says it kills bad bugs- but how does it tell the difference between a good bug and a bad bug when they are so biologically similar? It can't. It will be like throwing a hand grenade into your living room while your family are there hoping to kill an intruder- your going to kill your good guys too.

Hmm interesting, the guy at my hydro store said most of their products contain many different bacterial species, and it's got the look and smell of an organic nutrient, I'm just so bummed cause this was an $80 little bottle that he said was a great root product and could be used with organics

You doubt it? So the company who makes it are liars when they say:
"creates a film around the roots" - Good bacterea, fungi and other micro organism have a relationship with the plant. If it's got a film on the roots, that is going to get in the way. How could it not? Something seperating the microbes from where they are meant to be is harmless?
"diseases and germs out of the root zone" - Like I already said, how does a chemical decide who is 'good' or 'bad'? Let me give you another example since you clearly didn't understand why it's unsafe to use hand grenades in the same room as your wife and kids.
EXAMPLE 2: Is it possible to make a poison gas that kill people- but only 'bad' people who do 'bad' things? That good guys will breathe it in and it smells sweet and makes them feel happy but a bank robber breathes it in and dies? This is the same thing! It says it kills and disrupts microbes! =That means all of them!

1) Does the can go off? No
2) Does it say use it up when diluted straight away (before the organisms die)? No
3) Can it be used in soil-less mediums and hydro with sterilizers? Yes
While you are at it- why don't you assume it's made of tiny magical unicorns that make your plant happy an fight bad bugs?
Based on what it says from the label everything points towards it disrupting your micro life in soil- to think anything else is just speculation and assumption

House and garden is far from organic. They are all synthetic and chemy. Chems are bad. Not just for pot but for people too. Cancer and what not.
The only bottled nutes I trust to be organic is general organics, Humboldt nutrients, bio bizz, and bio canna. But bio canna has supposedly been banned in cali.
Botanicare isn't even completely organic. They mix synthetics with organics. They call it organic because it has a carbon base.
If its not omri listed do not trust it to be organic. Except GO. They refuse to spend money on omri since they are vegan nutes.

Are you sure about this? I know it's not labeled on the bottle but they say the exact ingredients are a company secret and thats why it looks like an organic nutrient, also it says it can be used when brewing tea

Yeah I'm sure... any organic grower wants to know what they are giving their plants. I would NEVER feed my plants some mystery mix!!! That would just be stupid. If they are not willing to say what the ingredients are.... that just seems shady to me. Ive seen house and garden nute grows. They get the same results as advanced nutrients. Beautiful weed that tastes like cardboard and has very weak potency.

oh another thing, you dont see them saying it's ok for food plants anywhere in their advertizing, at least as far as i can tell. thats a pretty big market for a fertilizer company to be avoiding, assuming it doesnt have anything that would be illeagal to use on food crops, like pgr's for example.
