no, don't do that, but go buy the flowering bulbs, around 10 bucks each for the cfl, and yes, reason. the plant will see the brightest. color, and basically it could screw a lot of shit up. but a lot of people do this, I would not suggest doing stuff wrong, just to see if it will work, lets put it this way, I have never seen any one do it, and people I know do it for a living,

^ what are you talking about? wouldn't it be the same as using a mh in flowering along side an hps. I have seen a lot of growers do this with great result. Or even adding UVB lights to flowering. Though this is controversial. I don't think this is going to mess you up as I have done it in the past. Add them for side lighting. Not sure what he is talking about. Use them if needed. The whole point is to try to emulate the sun to the best of your ability indoors. Do some more research. You will see. What " shit will it screw up?". Curious to that answer. Hope it helps op

Edit. Was to kind diesel

Yes you can not gonna hurt anything by mixing spectrums.
I run MHs and HPS during flowering, gives the plant a wider
range.Alot of ppl do this during flowering seems to produce
more trichomes.

In your situation IMO,its not gonna do much unless you have
plants not getting light.
