Do you put your plants in a darkness period before harvest?

I just did 10-12 days on my widow. I harvested one that was showing nanners and did not have anywhere else to dry but in the tent so I just cut the lights off. The ones that sat in the dark are a helleva lot frostier and stickier. Inly reason I did this was the breeder states to turn the lights off for 2 weeks before time to get the frostiness. If it wouldnt have played out like it did i would have not put them in darkness.

i just cut down an took me a week to get to my last few plants cause working ect...

anyways point is that i cut down branches by branches and leave the plants in the buckets with lights off so they still on plant. by time i got to last few plants the buds just looked way better and bigger. the bigger part is prob cause they were all red by then whereas other ones were most milky but i thought dark period may have had to do with all the enhanced frost on them.

i dont think i do it on purpose for next batch but ill trim the same way so the last few plants will be untouched in dark for days before i get to them an i see if they the same extra frost.

I have tried this for 48-72 hours with no effect other than a stinky home. (Dark area had good circulation, but no ventilation.) After trying this two or three times with no results, I doubt I will try it again.

I did some reading and apparently the "white strains" do well with a darkness period - hence Genetics make the trichs is correct and darkness only works on the White strains.

Also, agreed on the stink! haha

THANKS ALL!
