I know there are a lot of RIU members dealing with PTSD.....this thread is for you, let's talk......PTSD can come from many different sources & effects many peoples lives in many different ways.....

not to sound dickish but you already have a thread dedicated to combat veteran music. why do you feel the need to start a new one?

I'll keep the music out of this one.......no more videos.....I guess?....this thread is to start a dialog about ptsd not combat necessarly. I was showing movies to start.....this is about ptsd in general......not all ptsd comes from military service......ask the people of Boston and their families...

i realize not all ptsd doesnt come from military but you said
"this is for you WELCOME HOME" which would indicate military service.

Before my brother died he was in therapy finally to deal with his PTSD. One of the things that did help him was starting to learn how to meditate. If someone reading this is dealing with PTSD I would suggest to them to learn how to meditate.

PTSD kills......meditation helps me also....thank you.. I'm sorry for your loss.....was your brother a veteran?......

Served in Somalia with the 2/14. He was apart of Black Hawk Down, there was alot of other shit that happened when he was there as well. He said that movie was pretty spot on, the strafe runs were toned down in the movie and that no one ran back to the university HQ like at the end of the movie.

And honestly I do too. Industrial accident covers mine quite sufficiently as well, le sigh.
