congrats on 40k posts buck
He's 40k posts deep because he hides inside. Going outside would mean seeing evil whitey everywhere. Well blame thrower buck isn't going to let evil whitey get him no no he sends mrs. hands aka buck's wife who happens to be a "teacher" to get back at evil whitey through the school system. Meanwhile buck hides like a bitch behind a screen. 40k posts deep.

Why can't more men be chivalrous. I mean your lucky for a guy to even open a door for you nowadays.
I still do it for the lady I'm with or for someone with their hands full. Most other folks don't appreciate it, though. Do you always thank the person opening it for you? If not, you're contributing to the epidemic.

I always hold the door for people behind me. Im not going to rush
ahead of someone to get the door for them though, unless of course
they are elderly or need a hand.

My wife and I get the door for each other, just depends who got their first. I like to
think that would be a common respect for each other.

IMO it all boils down to women being treated as equals.

...there should be a rule established that says within 'x' amount of feet away you don't have to hold the door open for someone. The "hang-time door hold" always leaves me feeling like a schmuck :)

...and some people do not say thanks :cuss:

If it is in your character, it is not a thought process, it is just done. I was raised where if you did not say Yes Mam, No Mam, Yes Sir, No Sir when spoken too, your head got spun around on your shoulders.
I for one open all doors for my wife, and bark at her if she tries to do it. I cannot stand to see a man walk through a door ahead of his wife, but that's me. I will not shake a mans hand while sitting down, that is just plain ass disrespectful.
If a man cannot treat the one person in his life as such, that puts up with all the bs she more than likely has to put up with, then you really ought to rethink your standards, and bring them up a notch.

Peace
