wow, surprising to see that they are reusing the 2000 montana gathering site (I was there for that one). Used to be taboo to reuse a site due to environmental impact. Buck, do you know if any other national sites have been used again?
yes sir 'stanky-one' they always have the sites close to old gathering spots......come home my bredren
im leavn next few days...i have 200lbs beans and rice!....lolol
grab ur sleeping bag and jump in my truck....im picking up 2hippie sistren in minneapolis along the way....
the michigan site was close to the original spot in the UP when it was here some years ago
and if you look at old gathering spots they are always closeto the original sites
....we need to bring the medicine wheel around to us and our state...somthing i will be advocating at council
we could use to raise the vibration here about the plants and medicine with all the nonsense they have done with our law concerning natural wholistic alternative medicine and how they have co-opted our right to share it
seems the phamily is taking the 'wheel' around to states where the medicine is trying to set the people free from the poisons of babylon-
if you check the welcmehome.org site on the feedback of enviornmental impacts and what happens after the gathering.....
--you will see nothing but good reports from USFS and all the locals
....news articles too on what a good job the cleanup krew does
that is my prayer to stay for cleanup.....its always fun to see what kids leav in the woods
last time i stayed for cleanup was colorado and i got like 8tents....6sleeping bags....7garbage bags of free clothes!! lolol
there was a group of hippies from france that were there and we became real close helping the cleanup krew
there is somthing like 4tons of recycleables that we sort afterwards and the $$generated from that is huge and helps the magic hat for future events-
and i cant comment on all the ground score we found from kidz wandering thru the forest and losing what was in their pockets or even knapsacks with stuf!!
you do know the last person out brushes thetrail with branches as to leav no trace.....
""walk softly on the earth and leave no trace""
i always like to help plant the trees the USFS gives to the phamily at the end to replace any damaged ones from the crowds
i think the local 'regional' here will be nice and i know alot of good peeps gonna be there that cant make it home-
hippie trails!
