I think there's some valid observations there and brings me closer to using super soil and saying fuck nutes. Super soil seems to have everything your plant needs then and there, which really helps with LEDs it seems. Not saying ya can't go the other way, Dawg and PuffeNuff come to mind but they are very in tune with their grows. SS just seems to have what your plant needs, which takes some of the guessing out of it for less experienced growers, like myself and definitely helps with overfeeding LED grows, which seems to be quite common. Plus The GreenSanta seems to have a good recipe to steal ;). Best Wishes TD!

Brawndo has what plants need. Electrolytes

The super soil is over rated. I 've changed recipe here and there. Im now doing a variation of headtreeps recipe. Im liking that much more than subs so far. Its cheaper and less cool time.

I use pro mix as the base.
Per. 2 cu ft

worm castings and compost or vermicompost 1/4 cu ft

Shrimp meal ................ 2 cups
Kelp meal ..................... 2 cups
Basalt rock dust ........... 8 cups
Neem meal / cake ........ 2 cups

I've been thinking of adding k-mag rock dust too.

Cook for a month.
I topdress with those too.

But you're flowering with CMH right? Could it be too hot a mix for LEDs? And for several reasons I'm so against kelp and other ocean additives that I'm barely eating fish anymore :(. And I just don't like Heavy Metal like I used to :). Trying to avoid senility and hearing loss in my old dotage. LOL I really want to make the switch to pure coco, but I'm not that adept yet and my environment can be less than stellar. And I would never use SS, only ss ;). But I really do like what Santas got going but he's pushing a lot of light in his grow, so even his recipe I would have to mix a little light the first time.

And for the record Soundgarden at Irving Plaza was the end of my good hearing days. Motherfuckas owe me a hearing aid:cuss:

Edit- Oh yeah, Brawndo?
Edit 2 OK. Nevermind. Now I got it. Forgot about that one. Only saw it once.

I use kelp meal.... not extract. I make my own extract and liquid kelp from the meal. so there is no metals or arsenic in it like maxicrop. I use neem cake / meal not neem oil. I don't use any bottled nutes. Santa and I are both doing ROLS method now. He hasn't converted all yet... he will join the darkside soon.... bad star wars joke

Shrimp meal breaks down faster than bone meal. Its the crushed shrimp shells. Even with ss the longer you cook it the less hot it is. This recipe you don't have to cook as long as subs ss

santa has his own recipe. its probably closer to what Im doing than subs.
