a quik question

hi i planted a germinated seed a few days ago in a jiffii pot thing and it has sprouted,it is ready for being put into a pot with soil, i ment to do it today but my soil has gone manky with bugs in it and shit, its currently still in the jiffii in a mug with cling film over, inoticed the root has grown all the way threw the jiffii into the bottom of the mug, i have work tomorrow and will be away all day will it be ok for transplanting wen get back its not going to die is it? thanks

If the plant is displaying no distress, it will be fine for another day. Cannabis is a hardy plant capable of enduring harsh conditions and reproducing in spite of adverse circumstances. However, the better you treat it, the better it will treat you.

I think Manny, above me, said it pretty well, but I would also suggest this. Since the plant is a tender seedling, find a 16 once drinking cup. A used soda-pop cup will be fine. Poke some drain holes in the bottom. Put your plant in the cup and add enough quality soil to pack it in. Then add another half inch or so above the top of the Jiffy moss-plug. This will force the plant to stretch a little and grow better roots. After a week or two of this repeated stretching and soil topping, then transplant to a decent pot. Be sure to water every third or fourth day with slightly acid water. You can get a jug of distilled water and add a teaspoon of white vinegar to the jug, for the correct ph.
