LOL you are going to compel me to go upstairs and get a pic of our 13' with a 250 HP Johnson outboard aren't you?
I used to have a little 10' aluminum flat bottom jon boat I'd put a 9.9 on. That was fast enough for me. Boat was only rated for a 4hp. I beefed the transom up to take the extra weight/torque. The motor weighed more than the boat.

Lotta fun:)

ROFLMAO!! I am the typo queen! I did not want to go back and re-do my typo otherwise the thread would not make sense but let me correct it now. It was a 150 HP. That was pretty darn quick. I can't imagine another 100 LOL. Sorry about that.

I did the same thing back in the early 80's in a Louisiana bayou.
Went tearing around like a mad man until I slid it sideways catching a chine & pitching my dumb ass out. The boat (with the motor kicked over & at full throttle) came right back around after me. I managed to catch the bow with both hands as it came directly over me, I shoved up as hard as I could & was able to drown the motor thus averting a certain serious slicing.

Yup, I sank mine under similar circumstances:dunce:

I did recover everything tho.

Sold the boat soon after.

I lovingly refer to it as "the death boat"

I can barely take off and land a cessna 152, wish i could fly some crazy shit like that. I need to go back to pilot training, just ran out of $...
Flying is expensive. Get a couple jobs work your ass off and bank every penny. Then quitth e second job and fly daily until you finish your private. Once you have your private finished it all becomes so much easier. Flying daily changes everything too. In the beginning you can't fly once a week and learn. I figured this out when I was 16/17. I'd just learned to drive and realized that a week between flying lessons was to long.

Oh and be careful if you are young and have just learned to drive. You can find yourself splitting lanes at higher speeds on the freeway and attracting negative attention.

Nice horses and welcome to RIU.
