why is this getting me so damn high?!?!

ok. so the company sent me up north in a hotel for a week. all I brought was a torch and a tiny droplet of oil. managed to scrape up a butter knife, pen, and little "dabber" lol.

so I brought up like .8 of this very nice honey oil I had. normally.. that would be 3, maybe 2 hoots if im feeling good off the triple perc bong + ti nail with a diffuser.

and his stuff... ive been taking blade hoots that are the size of a grain of sand!!! 2 of them and I am STONED!!!! why is this getting me so much higher than my bong?? is it the 4x water filtration in my bong or what? these blade hoots off a cheap chinese blade are fucking me up!

They should work comparably with one exception, possibly the important one. Some compounds in cannabis are water soluble, others are soluble in oils or alcohols. The bong would filter off the water-soluble components. That could be why joints/blunts/spliffs deliver the best percentage of available THC followed by pipe and lastly bong which delivers a lesser dosage due to the water interaction. BUT! You reply, I get so much HIGHER from a bong hit. True, but it is mainly due to the delivery method of the smoke.

you are hitting it thru your bong that has 4 perks? yea that has alot to do with it. thats why you see all these really small pieces for concentrates

hmmm. very very very interesting. so my bong has been costing my hundreds of dollars in massive dabs.


and I meant to say that this nail gets me higher (even though it sucks and hard to take a nice hoot from). but smoking 1/4 of the oil, I am just as high as my bong would have gotten me.

Yep,
When smoking ,vapin concentrates, the smaller the vessel the better.
You want very little diffusion, if any.

My rig is a very simple small chambered vessel with an in-line perc, just 3 holes.

I want a smaller one..I've seen many use these tiny rigs without using water also..

They claim the water takes way from the high...
I'm plenty high, lol, and I'll take the simple water filtration, as the smoke from bho is..HOT.

Last night, I took a rather large dab, in fact just a lil too big, so I was still dabbing and pulled my dabber back when my lungs were at capacity.

Well there was just a tiny piece still leftover on my dabber, so I reheated my nail and just dabbed that TINY little bit (half the size of a match-head) and it produced a GIANT cloud of vapor.

So I continued with smaller dabs, sure enough, HUGE clouds.

I'm thinking now, with bho...less is actually more.

Would anybody be willing to try taking smaller dabs?
To confirm or deny this theory of ” less is more”

That would be awesome to get a compilation of everybody's response.

dabs, it could be that since you are dabbing such a huge glob, you basically dont really get a chance to control the drip off the dabber, so you just getting a nice quick thick hoot of smoke..

with the smaller dab , you poke at the nail more so, and i think you are able to still get a damn fat amount of a hit off a small oil dab..

i dont think less is more, i just think better control - better hit.

i <3 me me little tiny bubbler rig, even with the water, im still getting high bongsmilie

Think you nailed it Guzias, as I was re-thinking this today while not baked..

A small compact dab, should produce a nice fat cloud o' vapor.

I'm still gonna&#8221; dabalot&#8221; haha, just smaller really compact dabs by squeezing the shit outta it before adhering to my dabber.

Damn, just thinking about how much oil I've probably wasted...shiiitt..., haha

so heres a question for you guys regarding thick smoke.... ive let the dabber sit on the nail, in the dome, and NOT suck... or BARELYYYYY suck through the bong, trying to get a very very very thick, but small toke. it doesnt work and seems like it wastes it.. why?


ive done with sir dabs mentioned many time... cant finish the hoot, left a tiny drop, then finished that tiny drop.... tiny drop = little smoke = little hoot = barely high. for me at least.

this is definitely interesting stuff. I personally think its the water.... but I just cant see water taking out that much THC but ive been wrong before!

keep the discussion going.. this seems like we could all learn something here.

yeah its not as bad as if you smoke bud ill give it that, but its still so gross. just pouring it in the sink if I get a whiff of it I gag.

Bong water is the worst, rig water is tolerable...unless it's been sitting around all day getting heavily used. Both my rigs use the minimal amount of water, and I don't mind taking dry rips every now and then either. I have a little travel rig that's like a hammer style bubbler that I like to use as a dry pipe. WAY more smoke with less water. Water just makes your oil condense back into a semi-solid state and gets stuck in your rig. Though reclaim is great for edibles.

alas i have discovered this recently too... it is concentrated after all so it makes sense \. that seems to be the reason i smoke oil really?

^ Yup, was taking smaller dabs again last night, and was going for dabs the side of a small match-head.

The smaller dabs allow for more effective use of the heat source (nail), by using my dabber to drag along the surface of the nail..and..holding the dab in your lungs.

As I'm holding the vapor in my lungs..wooooo....buddy.... Head rush

The true epitome of the word..&#8221; Heady&#8221;
