Can you flower with MH

Im waiting on a hps I ordered getting on to two weeks ago. Just wanted to know whats the deal if I start flower with my digilux MH. I believe this to be pre flower. Sorry but my phone keeps taking upside down pictures. Thanks bro's

It will be fine, might see bigger benefits if your lower on the spectrum.

If I was you I'd wait to flower, at least until your nodes start to stagger, this shows maturity in your plants and will produce much more bud in the end product JMO

It doesn't matter what you use, MH, HPS, CFLs, as long as you have the right spectrum for flower and the right one for veg, you will get what you want

During flowering they like more oranges and reds, which the HPS puts out. You are correct that ultimately your girls will still flower with MH or CFLs, but your buds won't reach their full potential without some of that red spectrum.

MH is all I use and I get great results....bud size is not related to the use of hps or mh... its in the genetics of the plant

That's the key right there!! Shoot for 50w or 5000 lumens per sq. ft., regardless of the light you use.

That will have to be next grow. Colonuggs thats a beautiful thing. Chipper Pig the hortilux I'm waiting for says you can use it for veg and flowers.

Im watching a grow right now and theres two lights being used right next to each other. One MH and one HPS. They are both flowering fine and will probably both produce the same weight in the end but the MH plants have stretched more than the HPS plants all planted at the same time in the same room.

If they are next to each other they are getting cross rays and would make sense that they are similar. Bet that's allot of heat.

Thanks, so far it has been a great resource! This isn't my first rodeo when it comes to growing, so to speak, but it is my first time on RIU and it has refreshed some old stuff I knew, and taught me a whole bunch of new stuff!!!

Metal Hallide shouold be used for vegging for the proper vegging light spectrum because its more white/blue and High Pressure Sodium for flowering because its more of a warm red hue that would give more yield then MH.
