Help. Please. Moving to CA, and nervous about trying to obtain medical marijuana.

I am 19 and moving to CA from FL with my parents next month. From what I am guessing I am moving to somewhere around Lompoc. I have been just started smoking this year regularly, cause I never got into it in high school. I got into a car accident this year, and have some neck and back injuries/disc herniation's and that's when I decided to give weed a chance. I struggle constantly, with anxiety, sometimes depression, and just not wanting to eat and I take too many meds to count, and pain meds don't work for me that well. I feel absolutely miserable every time I wake up in the morning like someone has been trying to pull my muscles out and punch me. I have no idea how to get medical marijuana? I have no idea where to obtain it in the area to where I am moving to, and I don't know if I will be able to get a card cause I'm not sure how strict they are with qualifying for it, and if I can get one without like 1 year residency or what have you. I don't know if they take insurance? Or how much weed costs, and how private it is, since I'll be living with my parents. Whatever advice anyone is willing to give me I am open to. Since I have no clue how it all works. Thanks.

Go to any doctor that specializes in writing MJ prescriptions. They are mostly driven by money so they will not be looking for reasons not to prescribe you marijuana. It cost me about $40 (Los Angeles). The prescription is a special piece of paper which will allow you admission to many storefronts ("dispensaries") found on WeedMaps.

As far as privacy, I don't believe the prescribing doctors are sending their patient information to any centralized location so I believe you should be ok.

The paper work stays with the provider . They just want the money they don't give a damn if you need it you can get a 99 plant for 125 to 150 cash

Yup. All you need is some cash. You're worried about your parents finding out? Tell them you are an adult and it really helps you manage the pain that you are having. You might want to remind them that you're not in Florida anymore and that it's legal under California state law (just show them your recommendations). Health insurance won't cover it since it isn't federally recognized. Good luck dude :)

Lompoc is a crappy area. All you have there is la purisma mission and vandenburg AFB. Surf beach is boring.

I'd much rather be in public than Modesto. There's always the free Lompoc hot springs a short hike right off the 1.

Stick to your county guidelines. Number of plants on the piece of paper isn't going to matter. Check your county's limits here: Canorml.org
