What do you think about selling the weed you grow?

lmao..better than me, mine died so I smoked all the stems and fan leaves.
LOL - who among us hasn't smoked fan leaves and stems? I used to throw my duff in a paper bag and leave it in a dark, dry place. When I got desperate I'd smoke it!!!

My first grow 10 years or so ago was a nice yield, kept me in the smoke for about 3 or 4 months. Tried a hydro set-up and bigger lights, produced an even bigger yield! Yada yada yada I ended up moving and couldn't grow in my new spot. I had tons of duff in paper bags, maybe 2 or 3, I don't remember. I tried making hash with most of it, didn't work out as I wanted. The rest I did indeed smoke when I got desperate!! And yes it tasted gross and barely got me high!! :dunce:

This is the way that I see it: our government has decided to make this wonderful gift from the universe seem like its one of the most vile, wretched blights we have. They have used it as a tool to gain political power, control society (with jail time), and make money in a VERY un-honest fashion. If they treated it more practically, then it wouldn't be illegal and wouldn't (literally) be worth its weight in gold.

They arnt the ones that made it this valuable (per se), but they are the ones who make it this expensive. There are obviously a lot of risks involved, especially if you value your freedom, but we take risks everyday starting as soon as we wake up and hop in the car.

They set up the system, and I'll be damned if I don't take advantage of it. Anyone withe common sense can keep their grow op from turning into one of those horrible stories, and just about anyone can make a boatload of cash in the meantime.

I don't think its wrong, immoral, or impractical for anyone to grow and sell weed. For some it might not be worth the risk, but for me I wouldn't want to go without it.

If they wanna make it legal and take the power away from us "drug dealers" then it will happen as soon as they let it. But until then they can call me a criminal all they want while I am purchasing my new motorcycle and my girlfriends titties.

I don't sell weed because I never want to be confused for a drug dealer. Plain and simple. I grow for personal use and may give some small amounts to friends under certain circumstances, like if someone does me a huge favor. Or if we're going to a party, instead of bringing wine or beer, I'll bring a few joints.

In the past I've had friends ask to buy from me, and I said no, I don't sell. Now everyone knows I don't and nobody asks. And I like that -- I don't want to be pressured into selling off my grow. I worked hard for it! It's MINE. They can spend six months of THEIR life figuring out how to do it!

Depends, Id sell to one person to push for you. I don't think growers should nickel and dime it
I don't see any moral prohibition for this. But the risk of getting popped goes up when you do small deals, and a manufacture charge on top of a distribution charge would suck. I used to grow mushrooms. I would set up, stockpile about 3-4lbs of mushrooms, tare down my op, and start selling. Rinse and repeat.

I sell enough at a VERY good price to my friends to cover my costs, and keep the rest for myself.

we get 20 a gram here in texas all day long, even if its just some mid grade bud. As long as its not been compressed an looks all brown like mexican shwag tends to look. Its 20/g or 120 a quarter

I've never sold either,I look after some close friends after a harvest but if I was stuck for cash at some stage I'd would do it, preferably sell a half lb as a once off to one person and let them worry about the fractions.

I definitely understand where you're coming from. Its a shame that we are labeled drug dealers (those of us who sell) but at the end of the day, we are. And maybe I'm a little biased and I'm sure its affecting my viewpoint, but personally I've learned that labels really don't mean shit. I've been labeled everything from "needle junkie" to "senior class president" and "most likely to succeed". And honestly, I'm not any of those things any more as much as I was back then, even tho I no longer use. I decided that a little girl who called me daddy was more important than the reasons I had for doing what I did at the time. If I would have let a label define me back then, who knows where I would be, or my family for that matter.
But, labels aside upholding an image is important, and selling weed will get you labeled quick, so again, I definitely see where you're coning from. But there are (smart) ways around having too many people know, or even just being able to trust the ones that do.

Exact same thing in my neck of the woods. As long as there aren't seeds, even if its seedless mids it goes for 20 a g, 120 a quarter (if they aren't gramming it). Ounces can start at 300-320 (usually only if you get a quap or so) and if its good people will pay 500 bucks an ounce, white collars 7 grand a pound.

I'm already fucked if I get caught growing it, so for me its not really a question of "if I'm gonna sell it". The question was "am I gonna take the risk to grow". Selling it is just implicit if you're growing around here.

Kudos to you for giving your little girl a daddy and knowing what was really important.

Thanks man, honestly the only thing that will ever make me prouder of making the (good) choices that I made for that little girl (and myself), is that little girl, herself :)
