only going down hill.... HELP

Hello RIU i have changed my setup and my plant seems to be doing worse... I put a small fan on it under a t5 and transplanted it into foxfarm ocean soil. I have been using RO water but have yet to moniter the ph. the light is about 4-6 inches away from the plant. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Ur soil is burning it..u need a big or decent size pot.and ur light is weak as shit....also if ur gunna feed dont forget to ph the bitch

t5 is perfectly fine i dont know y he said that i veg 6 plants for the first 2 weeks under t5 alot better then cfl

yeh your soil is abit rich in nutes m8, just give plain PH`ED 6.2 WATER for a few week and she will come good , ph is a must , if you get ur ph right , that is half the battle , every thing has to run in harmony to achive the best and maximum from your plant or plants . T5 lights are a lot better than cfl`s .

I have never had a problem with fox farms ocean forrest being "too hot" I have grown out numerous plants from seed to harvest with it and never had an issue.

IMO, this is just another myth that gets perpetuated because someone reads it and repeats it.

The light doesnt need to be very close, esp on a seedling. It can only use the as much light as leaf surface area it has and that little thing doesnt have much.

What changes did you make in your setup?

then oviously the seeds you have grown can handle the nutes that are in the soil . This chaps seeds might not be able to handle the ec of the soil , I think your soil should have buffers to balance out your ph to round about 6 - 6.5 , I know that bio bizz all mix is ph`ed buffered to 6.5ish . still no harm in buying yourself a simple ph testing kit if you carnt afford a pen .

It was in a 1.5L x1W x2.5H box with two cfls. now its in a 3x2x1.5 tray that with the t5s sitting on the lid.

It has gotten worse since last night. The first two fan leaves are staring to die.... I definately have to balance their ph levels. Thank you for the hel!

flush the soil out .........get some water from the store .......i only say this becuase u can reuse the jugs distilled water is ph of 6 and ppm 0..............for every gallon of soil u need to dump 2 gallons of water tho.................this will help reph balance the soil and flush out some of the nutrients.........if u have calmag+ u can add it to the flush i do .............this should help out with the trouble then the leaves will be a darker green then u normal see

Thank you for your reply. I have cal mag and will lightly use it. I will keep posted about the plant.
