As the title says.. When you flush (if at all) do you flush with pH'd water? Or just STRAIGHT WATER NOTHING ADDED. Like I also said, If at all. Do you flush? Why? If not, why? Which is better for you? Which is better for your cannabis? I am about to start my flush on mine any day now and I'd like to have as much of this answered prior to, so thank you to anyone that answers!!!

I grow in coco. Soiless medium.

I never put straight water through my plants.

During the final 10-14 days I decrease my nutrient strength until I'm at about half what I was feeding at.

By pouring vast amounts of water through the rootzone it shocks the roots which can cause reverse osmosis in the roots. This means they no longer uptake ions and start excreting water which then in turn can cause drastic problems within the plants.

My plants are green at harvest time and buds are ripe and fragrant.

Buds burn clean with white ash and taste superb after curing.

There is no need to flush if you do your fertilizing correctly during flowering. Flushing is to get rid of the nitrogen in the leaves. If you cut out the nitrogen completely during the flowering stage, most of your leaves should be yellow.

This is a touchy subject around here, lol. Everyone has their own theory. YES, use PH'd water. What I do is only give your plants water the last week of flower. That should be more then adequate to "clean" any nutrient build up. DO NOT run massuve amounts of water thru your pots. Continue your regular watering scedule, just dont add nutrients.

If you cut out nitrogen during flowering you will suffer a drastic yield reduction.

I feed with a 6-3-8 from start to finish with a few little extras.

My plants leaves are green and healthy the day that I cut.

I use a 400w hps and generally harvest between 350g-500g. Strain dependant.

The only reasons I flush, are if I get a toxic buildup, and when Im about to finish a plant out. I don't do this to flush the plant, it's unnecessary and unnatural, I'm flushing the soil because I reuse it. Some dont like to reuse dirt, but I cant afford to buy it, I dont have to get rid of it, and nature reuses it's soil and it seems to be working out ok.

Do NOT flush your plants for anything like 2 weeks.

If you feel compelled to flush then only do it for a few days.

Coco is pretty much devoid of nutrients and it quickly takes on the properties of the feed solution.

You cut out nutes and in 6days I can guarantee you would have N def, P def, Mg def, Ca def.

Just cut back your feed strength to half your full strength feeding.

I was going to say if you have more than one plant same strain try flushing one and not the other. See for yourself if it really makes a difference. The key is how your feeding your plants. Good luck.

Never ceases to amaze me that people spend months on a plant trying to ensure they get every gram of bud, then starve when it needs to finish and really filling out. A good dry and cure will give you a smooth smoke. I reuse soil also, I still wouldn't flush what I have worked so hard to get right. The soil goes back into the compost pile and gets reused, note if for some strange and unknown reason I had a problem with a container I won't reuse it. Honestly don't remember when that has happened though.
Please do a side by side comparison, then you will know....Happy Growing
