What?
I do not have 15-20 pounds of toxic waste in my body, that is impossible.
You would have to be a fatty to have that much.

Is there a study that proves eating GMOs are harmful?

What bothers me about vegetarians (and any one else) is when they make claims that are unverifiable.
I don't have the care to argue GMO's anymore as it has been common sense for quite a while now. If you want to eat GMO's, go ahead and do so. Ignorance is bliss. And no it's not impossible to have that much toxic waste in your body and in fact a lot of people do. It's a build-up from all the processed garbage, junk food, fast food, gmo's, environmental pollution, household chemicals (soaps, detergents, bleach, etc.) over a lifetime. People use their stomach as a trash can and wonder why they feel like shit. They care so much about cleaning their car engine, gutters, drains, and what not and don't realize that their own body needs cleansing as well, as in detoxification.

This is from your article:

After multivariate adjustment, a high consumption of red meat was related to higher all-cause mortality (hazard ratio (HR) = 1.14, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.01 to 1.28, 160+ versus 10 to 19.9 g/day), and the association was stronger for processed meat (HR = 1.44, 95% CI 1.24 to 1.66, 160+ versus 10 to 19.9 g/day).

Higher mortality means higher chances of death, just so you know.

Don't condescend, it takes away from your argument.

Why don't you read an article about the study?

Im trying a pseudo vegetarian diet for a bit after a lot of the research shown in here, not sure if ill stuck to it completely once ive made the change.. but im willing to see what all the benefits actually feel like. Can't knock it till you try it right? Im not going to go see a vegan bias film about animals being slaughtered because im not into that type of shit......Jtprin don't you fucking ruin this for me!

The first blog you linked has nothing to do with herbivores. It also bases its argument around studies that have been debunked.
The study I posted makes that study look really bad.

The study you linked did not take into consideration that people who eat a lot of processed meats and red meat also had a tendency to smoke and drink heavily. They tended to be over weight.
Was it the meat or the cigarettes/booze/obesity that killed all those people?

That is the problem with many studies. People with crappy diets tend to be less educated, smokers, drinkers, obese and they eat less fruits and vegetables.
Is it the meat killing them or all the things combined?

Some studies I looked at do not even take age into consideration. Older men tend to eat more meat. Older men tend to die sooner than younger men.
That does not mean that meat makes you die sooner.

Why don't you learn what the hell you're talking about before you try and debate?
lol

The same could be said to you.
You linked an article saying it shows that "Humans are physiologically herbivores..."

It does not do that at all. It also uses flawed studies to put forth an opinion.

Since we became so afraid of fat, processed foods have been using less fat and more sugar. Now we have way more heart disease.
If you care about health, you should try to get people to stop eating sugar. Sugar is much more unhealthy than meat.

Meat consumption in relation to mortality from cardiovascular disease among Japanese men and women.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22333876

[h=4]CONCLUSION:[/h]Moderate meat consumption, up to ~100 g/day, was not associated with increased mortality from ischemic heart disease, stroke or total cardiovascular disease among either gender.

The links weren't to show that humans are herbivores, they show that meat is not good for you, and so did your article. Processed sugar is bad for you, however, eating fruit isn't.

Still looking for that lion with high cholesterol and high blood pressure. They eat meat raw and still alive.

Go take down prey like a lion does (something you cant because you lack physical carnivore characteristics), and if you can, eat it raw like the lion and see if you don't get sick.

You posted that Humans are herbivores then you posted the flawed articles.
It was misleading and very typical of people that argue out of a place of emotion instead of logic.

The study that the first article is based on has been shown to be bullshit.
They neglected to factor in things like weight, age, smoking, drinking...

Those are all very important when comparing mortality.

Since you are unable or unwilling to understand:

If you want to show that meat eaters die younger than vegetarians you should try to make things equal.

If you compare a vegetarian to a man eats meat and smokes, drinks, is older, is obese etc.
Then you should compare that man to a vegetarian that smokes, drinks, is older, is obese etc.

Going by the best mortality studies available, eating meat in moderation does not cause one to die sooner.

You would do much better to pimp the environmental impact meat production has on the Earth, or the ethical stance.
You haven't offered much in the way of showing that meat is bad for people.

Id like to see you not buy fruits and vegetables. Pick all your nuts, berries and fruit. Hell do a garden even, but use no shovels, hoes or any other garden tools. Dont wash the fruits and veggies you eat. See if you dont get sick. I bet under those restraints you starve.

An omnivore is defined as an organism that eats both plants and animals.
Vegetarians/vegans are not omnivores.

I am an omnivore.

and this is irrelevant
