VEG Light Period?

Hello RIU Land,
I use CFL's for seedlings and I keep the light on 24/7.
I have been keeping my plants on 24/7 since July 9 when they sprouted.
I am workin with unknown bag seeds.

I am waiting for enough growth to take cuttings to force clones in 12/12 photo Period

should I be Running my lights 18/6?

Will I get more growth by allowing night time?



Out of the Current 10 seedlings, 3 popped up and thru a
taproot out the bottom of the 1" cube in 24 hours.

24 hour lighting 95watts, I put the 3 Fast Movers right into 4" cubes.

I use a mix of Olivia's and 1/4 strength Nutes to water my seedlings.

Brand Fox Farm two products-
VEG- Big Bloom And Grow Big

and when the time comes!
FLOWER- Tiger Bloom

Light cycles are a huge debate, you have people that are passionate about just about every difference. I like 18/6, not sure if you get more light than with 20/4 or 24/7 but it doesn't seem huge and it gives a temperature dip and also a humidity bump and is less expensive for electricity.

Are you doing hydro or are you going to be putting them in soil?

in rock wool
in Ebb n Flow setup
today is about 25 days from seed switching to 18/6 from 24/7.

Wish I could help, I know nada about hydro. Looks like you are well on your way though.
 
Well im running a DWC Buckets With a 400 hps. I use 18/6 as well. With my lgiht staying 3 feet away from my plant i am limited to space. So i force my plants over to 12/12 at about 5-7 weeks depending on the strain.

how many plants per bucket?

i want to run a SOG,

I still Need to find a female worth keeping!

I have a similar setup as well.

4 3.5 gallon black buckets

4 Large air stones, some tubing and a big air pump.

I have covers cut for 4 3" net cups x4

I also have the single 6" snap on cover x4

I use 1" RW and 4" RW and Hydroton to start seedlings and clones.

I have 2 buckets an a rubbermaid tub that holds 4 so in total i have 6 plants at one time. i have 3 Northern lights 1 train wreak an 2 master kush plants.

I have 5 gal buckets with 5in air stone an my tub have 3 12in air stones.

Nun to fancy. This set up has given one successful grow but this will be my 2nd harvest with this set up.
 
You should look into a scrog instead of a sog man less plants and bigger overall buds because of it, Check out a guy on youtube called HygbroHybrid man I can post a link if you'd need but he's running a DWC set up two plants SCROG on a perpetual cycle.

I run my cuttings under 24/0 for about 2-3 weeks then I switch them to 18/6 and continue to veg them for another 5 weeks under cfl then switch to my 400w and put them under 12/12.
