Thanks for stopping by. I've been following your thread as well. Here are the details on the LED I bought last month. Tell Jeff @ A51 I sent you.

New toy: Area 51 SGS-160 LED Grow Light

Time to replace the 400 watt MH/HPS fixture and light ventilation with this LED veg/flower unit.

Yeah Pros is the man when it comes to clean, and also has really nice equipment too. Pretty good at the re-purposing as well, just kinda has an eye for it. I think all the marketing background helps alot, "if I can't sell it for this use, what can I sell it for?" IDK. If you ever have a question about how to hide a grow, or make some kind of stealth design for something, he's definitely your man! Have a good day everyone. Oh pic of the day.

That is great to know, I have always wanted to get some super-stealthy grows going :) Exactly why I am really looking at these Area 51 LED's or something similar, I'm starting to think about using some of the crawl-spaces available to me just for fun, but I have been eyeing our pantry quite seriously for a long time. All I need to do there is hide the entrance to it and the kitchen will look like just a kitchen.
My sister works in special fx and set-building, promised me she'll help me out and I know if she does nobody would be able to see work was done there, but she's a pretty successful girl so it has been YEARS and she's so busy she can't get away to actually come do it. Won't bug her for it either, damn happy she's rockin out in such a tough industry!

You guys are too kind. I'm just a little over the top in my organization and cleanliness. Hell, what else am I going to do with my time except get into trouble.

Here is a photo of my craziness... the cab with the humidor is where I'm drying bud now (I pulled the shelves out). I'm going to build a steam punk vaporizer cab way over to the right where I have more space. Of course, everything has locks and makes zero noise or odor.



Hamish, your sis sounds like she's got a great job. I would love to work in special f/x. Especially pyro. :twisted:

I see myco is sporting his new non-stick containers. Looking good bro.

Those Steam Punk vapes are UNREAL man. Couldn't believe the pic I saw of one. Looks like an industrial-revolution era smasher of synapses. You almost expect it to breathe fire and run on coal shovelled in by your midget slaves LOL.
I can say my sis loves her job. I can also say that I am concerned for her health working weeks on end of 18 to 20 hour work-days and passing out for a week when done, but she will be able to retire very comfortably by the time she is 40 so I trust she knows what she is doing!

Pyrotechnics is an awesome field. Those guys are specialists, they do nothing but pyro pretty much. In Cape Town we had a series of concerts called 'The Symphony Of Fire' where pyrotechnicians from the USA, China, and I think Japan synced up firework displays to live classical music. I spent some time talking to one of the Chinese fellas, and even coming from a family of engineers the teeny tiny error margins these guys work with blew my mind. I mean they made their own rockets etc so can you imagine completely ENGINEERING a firework display to sync up to music?! Total insanity. On the night these guys are taking measurements of atmospheric pressure and wind speed and feeding numbers into their software they designed themselves...

AMAZING.

Just thought is stop by.

I took down 2 FCJ clones yesterday along with a 2ft tall FCJ.

These clones were rooted and given around 10 days on 18/6. Then 70 days of 12/12.






This pic is just the harvest from the 2ft tall FCJ plant.


Still got another large FCJ plant and another clone to harvest tomorrow.

Yup, small plants rock Jon. I kept my AK at 29" and had a great yield.

They like the 400w blasting the whole way down and respond with fat buds. Nice work and a great return for less than 3 months!

Those look awesome, only 10 days 18/6? That is amazing. It seems it takes me 7-10 days after I get a clone moved into my veg before it even starts growing.

Anything over 3ft under a 400w is pretty pointless as penetration doesn't go that far.

I try to keep my larger plants under 30" using some LST as required.


Might be dabbling in some mainlining next. Gonna try for an 8 head ML or maybe a 16 if I can confine them into their 1.5ftx1.5ft area lol.

Oh hell yes, after seeing what even self-proclaimed noobs do with mainlining I am convinced it is the way forward. Much more uniform than LST. And apparently mainlining into 8 costs only 10 days of time longer to reach readiness for flower. Popped some beans exclusively to try it out!

Mr E. Duck just pulled 300 dry grams out of a 60cm by 60cm space using a 400w HPS and mainlining a Blue Dream. Cabinet ran hot at times, far from PERFECT conditions, but more than admirable for what he got out. He claims it was SIMPLY the mainlining and some LST that achieved this.

I've been watching some vids and reading some tutorials about it.

Seems very interesting indeed.


Could be I try it with some HSO PINEAPPLE SKUNK and HSO OG and my other critical+ seed that I have left.

I just main-lined a strain called Menage A Trois, and she came out spectacular. Absolutely no larf on her to speak of, just chunky thick flowers. I've never grown the strain before so I have nothing to compare the harvest to, but I am very happy with the results. I also just pulled a Skunk#1 down down with a main-line at the 5th node, and i left the 4th as well, and main-lined it like the 5th. I think the results on her were pretty impressive as well. That strain I have grown before, and I can say with all honesty that the main-line variation I applied really helped the final outcome. I'm definitely sold on main-lining for sure. Nug-Buckets is a personal hero of mine now, and he's growing out some Gage Green gear I've been following, and it's so bad @$$. Have a great day everyone. Peace out.

Those who didn't read the previous posts, this isn't an accidental natural herma. Trying out Tiresias Mist to make some fem seeds. I'm happy with the amount of balls too, this is only part of the branch, it has some branches itself and more spots with balls.

And a recent overview of my canopy (the lower part in front is where the branch I misted is being removed, to a pollenshelter :lol: ).

I see more and more guys from the States into breeding now. Good for you guys, I should follow suit and take my bean-making more seriously. It is definitely the way forward, make your own :) Will be worth it for that ONE perfect plant as long as you keep a clone or 5 :)
