What the Hell is This? Tiny Seeds???? (Pics)

What's going on everybody?

So I pulled a small bud off of my Skunk #1 Auto as a tester, I am about 5 days away from harvest and wanted to get a gauge of where I was at. Anyways, I did a quick dry on the bud last night and it ended up weighing like 1 gram. So I was picking it apart and noticed these tiny little dark black dots in the bud. And when I say tiny, I mean very small, probably the size of a pin head, and they were deep within the calyxes. I got about 6 or so out of this one bud. They looks like very tiny seeds, but I am 99.9% sure that I had no males or hermies in my crop. I will have to check especially hard tomorrow, but I have spent such a large amount of time with them I am pretty sure I would have seen any male flowers appear. I have not checked any more bud or any of the other girls, so I am not sure if this is a widespread problem or if it is contained to a single plant.

Anyways, here are some pics of what I just found, they are not the best pictures because they are so damn small, but it should give you guys an idea of what I am looking at. They are not white or hard at all, they are actually pretty soft and break up, not really in a specific shape, looks like black little crumbs or something. Really hope I did not just discover a massive problem, because the Skunks will be coming down in the next few days, but the three NL's in the room still have a good five weeks to go or so. These little black seed looking things seem to be hollow as well, there isn't a whole lot to them to be honest, just don't want to ruin my personal, which this grow is entirely. There is not much good bud in FL.

What do you guys think? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!

Should I go ahead and harvest now to prevent these from maturing any further? If that is indeed what they are is seeds from somewhere, but in all seriousness, I am almost positive I have not seen a single male flower this time around???

Anyone else have experience with this? How bad of shape am I really about to be in?

Neither have I man, I seriously have no idea what it is. I am pretty positive I had no males or hermies in there anywhere, I have spent a lot of time with these girls over the past few months and I know about every square inch of them, just can't figure it out. I was under the assumption, that if they were immature seeds, they would be a white/yellow color, like every other immature seed I have ever seen. These are dark, seem pretty hollow, and crush into a couple of pieces when pressure is applied. I really just can not figure this out for the life of me, I will comb them over again tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure I won't find any male flowers, (hope not atleast).

Hopefully it is isolated to that one bud, doubt I would be so lucky though. Still can not figure out what these things are, none of my pistils turned color early or anything so I don't think they were pollinated.

i have seen those in some of my buds before. the pistils are connected to them right? i always thought it was a seed that never got fertilized and therefore never grew any. i have seen them in plants i know for a fact did not get fertilized. im just not real sure if most or all plants have them and they are just too tiny to actually notice or what is goin on. i would also like to know the real cause/reason they are there and what they really are.

Yeah that's correct, seem to be connected to pistils. I too, am positive I didn't have any nanners this time. Just can't figure it out, hope there's no adverse effects to my crop. How was the buds you saw that had these little things on them?

The smoke i had couldnt have been better lol. it was critical jack i think it is the seed but it just never got fertilized so it never grew and its black/brown because it died. thats just my theory until someone comes and gives the real answer haha i think that the little seeds are always there and that they are just so small most folks never notice them

Yeah man, I'm not sure. I have never seen this before in my entire life, so im totally stumped. Hopefully someone will come along who knows more than us.

After doing some more research today and finding more of these things on different plants, i have learned that these little seed looking things are the female ovules, with the pistil sticking out. The pistil grabs the male pollen and feeds it into the ovule which in turn is the beginning of a seed. These are perfectly normal and as long as they aren't pollinated, will not cause any problems. Just wanted to share with you what I had found on this subject. Chop day in two days!

you answered your own question about 3 times in this post
you said " no nanners this time around"
if the grow space is not 100% sanitized after pollen is spread in the right conditions it can remain viable for quite a while

Yeah I just didn't really know what exactly they were. This is my first time running in this area so there's no previous pollen in there. I have gone over every inch of all 6 plants today and yesterday and could find no signs of any hermies or nanners. I was really just looking for clarification on what these things were.

I don't think you should harvest now. Try to flush your bud otherwise you will be smoking those small seeds and trust me, the popping sound is not nice.
