If you could get the roots where they need to be, and get some good soil for em, a sog would be awesome I think. Change things up a little, and have each plant supplying food for that beautiful top nugget. I think it would all be about size of plant, and root system in a trade with a bigger plant that has everything developed already. If you get it right though you could have a nice harvest on your hands bro. I was actually think ing about going the different direction soon with a single or maybe two plants scrogged out entirely taking up the whole tent. Maybe some Skunk#11, and Bubblegummer action, I'm not sure yet. I think if you try a singular newer auto, and it's up to par you have a solid idea that way as well. It's all up to you man, you know what you like, and what your end expectations are. You also have the skill to make it work either way, I just don't want to see you unhappy with a harvest, and buying the hash from town, even though I love the pics of it when you do pick some up. The down side is you don't really know what you are getting, some of the people that run them are a bit shady and most of the employees are blasted and of little help. I actually asked about seeds at one place and the girl told me they are illegal to sell here, I asked "Then why do you have a section on the display filled with seeds?" I guess she hadn't been down to that part of the counter yet :wall:. Not really a concern for me yet since I cannot run a bunch of plants, but I hear you also need to worry about bringing in bugs and diseased plants when getting them. That might make me nervous if I had some mothers I was keeping to preserve strains or something, but growing one at a time it doesn't.

Merely giving water is usually the way to go, but the goal there is not really flushing something either, but to stop feeding with in turn the goal to prevent overfeeding at the end. Basically don't want to give nutes while there's still enough in the soil. I prefer my leaves to be light-green near harvest time, a few yellow leaves is fine too. Will make it tastier sooner so I can start enjoying it already shortly after harvesting, but it's the curing process that prevents a harsh smoke / chemical/metal taste.

They need to come out with a plant that doesn't look or smell like a marijuana plant. :dunce:

That way I can keep it outside with all my other plants. Stop breeding strains for potency and start breeding for stealth. I've seen duck-footed leaf mutants that don't look like mj, ya know?

I've always liked the idea of finding the perfect clone somewhere along the way. It scares me though to think I could be bringing somebody's botrytis problem into my house. I understand quarantine, and all that, but it doesn't help much if you bring the spores in on you with the plant. Clones can be a scary thing if not from a known source that you know is clean, and well taken care of. Maybe that's just my paranoia or something, but I have seen someone get a clone from a person, and put it outside, and then they're both bitching about mold later. Huh, wonder what happened there? I may not be a plant master, but I understand molds, and fungi perfectly fine, and know one little spore can wreck what use to be a beautiful garden. Peace out.

I'm right there with you on keeping a sterile grow. I don't even like bringing in bagged organic soil, but the benefits out weigh the contamination issue. Had gnats for the first time this year and it was because of the Roots potting soil. Didn't take much to eradicate, but that's an example of what happens when you bring things into your grow room that are out of your control.

Hey Prosperian, I got a problem with gnats. I'm sure they came in with a bag of organic soil. May I ask how you eradicated them. I've got a bottle of GoGnats and and a couple other items but not sure if I should use them this late in the bloom.

Well i'm not Prosperian but I deal with gnats a lot...Snapshot_20130716.JPGCheap Glue traps catch a bunchSnapshot_20130820_1.JPG Safe sprays also... this stuff kills them within minutes..... but it smells like ass.

A funny thing happened on the way to the finish line. A couple of my girls that should be trying to wrap things up started growing crazy pistils. Is this normal so late in the game? I guess that means I still have a ways to go with these girls. The GSC barely showed any pistils, they just look like mounds . Would love your feedback. Thanks!
