Blue Venom? Duckfoot mutation?

My youngest plant, about 3 weeks since breaking soil. Been topped twice but its looking odd, with only 3 finger leafs. I got the seed from a 15 gram bag of blue venom seedless, not purchased as fem seed from seedbank. I've looked at a few other grows of blue venom, this doesn't appear to be a characteristic of the plant.



I guess it doesn't really mean anything if its duckfoot, if shes female its worth putting time, lights and veg nutes into? tnx for opinions.

Three fingered leaves arent really what makes a ducksfoot variety unique. Its more of how the leaf blades are connected to each other like a ducks toes.... are they called toes on a duck?

I dont see anything too out of he ordinary. Three and even one bladed leaves are pretty common on cannabis especially after some type of unnatural stress like topping or revegging. I wouldnt sweat it.

thx, if this plant is cloned does it carry those characteristics of the genetics or is this just a outlier type thing? i was intending on taking a cutting from the blue venom before flipping later on, but not sure if I should.

The plant could have hermed and that would make the "seed" you got a female.....I tend to think that's what happened as their would have been more seeds if it was cross pollinated!

If the mother hermed,,,be watchful for stess in flower as that may make yours herm too..Keep in mind the mother could have been an "old" plant....What that means is that any cutting taken from a mother is as old as the mother, and if someone was taking cuttings from plants at the end of their veg cycle to keep the line going. Then the cuttings are as old as the total times it's come from those other cuttings. That can make a plant look different from it's original self and reverting back more towards either of it's parents (the more dominate) characteristics with no change in it's flavor or "buzz".
..BTW your plant looks in great condition.....
grow it out and take cuttings at the end of veg.

Oh yeah, It's throwing 3 leaf sets due to some stress. Could be from the topping or just early growth/breed thing.....She'll pitch 5 leaf sets soon.....look for them at the top in new growth and don't sweat anything,,,she's doing GREAT....

Relax man, plant is looking great, I see some 8 colas incoming :D

I don't believe stress causes that producing 3leaflet leaves. It's more in genes and plant growing mechanics. When you topped her, did your top leaves also had 3 leaflets?

Also it's a quite common thing if a strain is crossed with ruderalis(usually autos) then they tend to have 3bladed leaves. I had it once. Anyway, yield turns alright, no need to worry, just does not look very aesthetic :)

Yeah when it was topped it had originally been 3 fingers from seed, is from blue venom medical, dont think she is ruderalis. I put her on 12/12 last night with other females to sex her, figure is best option before stretching. I had other plant show sex around 4 weeks veg without 12/12, so will keep an eye on the first few days of 12/12 on her see what happens. Is 12/12'ing just to avoid the 3 week maturity wait? Once your at this point in maturity (over 21 days), is there no point to 12/12'ing the vegging plant, it should show sex due to maturity eventually around 3-4 weeks on normal 24/0;18/6?

Patience Grasshopper, give Her a little more time. I don't even think about topping til 6 nodes....Need a fan...

Yeah I didn't top/lst the female sativa bagseed I got going atm until later on in veg, is like 5'5 :/

I'm going to be little more aggressive on this blue venoms lst, top was done at what i interpreted as above 2nd node

WHY ? 10character's???? Since you did you should FIM Top the other's and learn to SCROG. She's going to grow wide...
