EXACTLY. There is only a very few people in the world at any one time that as an aggregate might know a tiny bit of WTF.

This is not correct. They are currently amassing the largest force they have put together at a single time in direct response to an Israeli attack on their missiles in Syria. They've also repeatedly warned against attack and have a huge amount to lose if Assad goes down and a more Qatar/Western friendly government comes to power. They also view the US as in a very weak position, because they are. Financially you borrow a trillion dollars a year just to stay afloat. Russia and China do not have that problem. China also has the factories and workers to start up a fucking massive war effort in no time. Russia has the resources.

All that's been on Russian news is talk about WW3.

This isn't Russia's preferred course of action, but it is action they will take if their hand is forced.
