Thank you!! Stems are pretty purple and there aren't any nutes in my soil so I was wondering if I shouldn't feed them full strength. Just don't wanna over do it!!View attachment 2808077
Keep for future reference.
Money is on Zink, P or K deff.
Id hit them with more Dyna, and if its the latter two it'll solve it.
Thanks Foothills...this was a very hard earned lesson from first grow! Lol...I always watch my pH now both going in and coming out! I use the drops, test strips sound like a good idea though. This grow my runoff has stayed clear but last time it was always discolored...so I was never REALLY sure about what it was (but it was def VERY LOW)Best place to start would be to check the ph of your soil, so you can eliminate any lockout problems, then go from there. I use ph test strips and ph the first little bit of runoff. I don't trust many of the ph meters out there. Let us know MD.
Something I hadn't considered...I do have Neem Oil (Gardensafe brand concentrate) I'd like to rule out def first...last time I used neem oil it spotted my leaves pretty bad....probably user error but Im gun-shy now!! Lol..Since you have taken cuttings recently, then noticed the problem, this could also be a fungal infection known as "ring spot", along with several other names. I've used neem oil in the past to control it. It comes as a concentrate, sold at Walmart, goes by the name, "Garden Safe Fungicide 3". If you use this, just a light spray is fine, don't over do it. I know this is not fun at times, but It can be a very good way to learn. Good Luck !
I think I like that! HeheheWell, It sounds like you have a good plan in place that makes sense MD. If I had an experience like that with the neem oil, I'd be gun shy too. Good luck my friend and let me know when you find some extra room in that closet of yours. lol Oh, I almost forgot this:http://www.420magazine.com/forums/frequently-asked-questions/81266-cannabis-plant-pest-problem-solver-pictorial.html Another very good trouble shooter loaded with some very good information, in addition to the wonderful info here on riu of course. lol

I increased my dyna Gro and Pro Tekt to 1/2 teaspoon per gallon (from 1/4 teaspoon per gallon) this morning and pH'd to 7...got between 6.5 and 7 from the runoff. (Happy dance) My first grow I couldn't get my runoff higher than 5.5!! It was a lockout TRAINWRECK!! This is VERY exciting to me as last time I used Miracle Gro with time released nutes and then FED them nutes (don't know WHAT I was thinking) on top of that THROUGHOUT the veg cycle...I paid DEARLY during the flowering stage and only got 40 grams of terrible smelling bud (smells like cow hay) off 3 plants!!Best place to start would be to check the ph of your soil, so you can eliminate any lockout problems, then go from there. I use ph test strips and ph the first little bit of runoff. I don't trust many of the ph meters out there. Let us know MD.
Well, I've only had three, the first one, outside with the girls was the best . lolYes...I have had 4 cups of coffee this morning
On the TRAINWRECK...it wasn't that kind of TRAINWRECK!! Lol! As far as my water source I generally use tap water that sits for 24+ hours. If we get a heavy rain I'll set a bucket out to collect, but only if its a downpour. (because I live at the beach and I wonder how much salt is in a typical afternoon shower and if that would have I'll affects? I have not had my water tested and Im on city water supply. I stumbled across the dyna Gro on an Internet search. Im currently using the Gro and Pro Tekt but I also have the CalMag Plus and the bloom formula. I like the simplicity of their products. I started out in total newbie style with two 4 foot fluorescent tubes and have since added CFL's of various spectrums. So basically my plants are about 2 inches below the tubes with CFL's clamped on both sides adding more as I raise my fluoro tubes and can fit them. I currently have two 42 watt and two 20 watt on both sides with two 20 watt on each end...two 4 foot fluoro tubes above if that gives you much of a visual?Oh, TRAINWRECK, now there's one that will put ya on the couch with a big smile on your face ! hahaha
Glad to hear your ph is right in there where it should be MD, and that you have learned how important it can be from experience.(the best teacher imo)
I would not cut that leaf. It's making a contribution to your plant, you said it has not gotten worse, and it could very well have nothing to do with a fungus at all.
If you did decide to cut the leaf, no, it would not get rid of a fungal infection. they are very hard, if not impossible, to get rid of entirely once they get their start within your plant.
Don't let that bother you as they can usually be controlled very easily with anything from homemade treatments to commercial fungicides.
I think it's great that you decided to mix your own soil without the nutes this time. This will also help you down the road and give you a better understanding of things like soil texture and soil additives as a whole.
So tell me more, what is your water source ?, has it been tested ?, how many watts of cfl are you using ?, and what Dyna-Gro formula are you using ? (good choice imo) Is there a chance the plant is starting to become root bound ?, How many waterings is the plant getting between feedings ? You know, some of that really good stuff ! lol
NOOOOO!!!! Im dyin' here!!! I was JUST thinking to myself..."why do my pics post sideways? They aren't that way in my camera roll??" Smartphone my ASS!! LMAO!!Thanks MD, I know all those questions are a pain in the butt. I wanted to get a feel for what level you are at and try to pick up on something that might not be right. Not that I'm even close to being any kind of expert on any of this.
Sounds to me like your doing every thing right and the Grow formula is the one I love to use all the way through, unless my girls tell me otherwise. ( they do sometimes ) LOL !
Dyna gro is very good imo, it's complete, lower in salts than many, and the big thing is that all the nutes are in ratios that make very good sense. That is huge when it comes to preventing problems down the road. .
Looking at your plant, I think it looks good and healthy with no signs of a nitrogen def (more common) at all. Keep an eye on her, just like you have been and look for any response to the higher nutes. Don't change anything else in the meantime if you can help it ! Basic, simple, and in most cases less is more, my friend. Don't sweat anything, after all, this should be fun and enjoyable. I for one, have issues just like yours with my plants all the time.
Now about that TRAINWRECK, are you absolutely sure that it wasn't "that kind of TRAINWRECK" ? Those uuum, slightly horizontal oriented pictures of your "very nice" plant made me visualize you laying on the couch, taking those same pictures, with a big ole smile on your face..... No ?? lmao
Oh my!!HAHAHA ! It's Dat Freaking TRAINWRECK MD, I'm Tellen Ya LMAO !!
If you really don't have a clue and you are enjoying yourself MD, Well thats a wonderful way to "FLY" good for you. LOL !!
Now, as far as me getting a "FEEL". Well, I'm not even going near that one, my friend ! HAHAHAHA !!
