congrats to you both!!!!Note to self-
I shouldn't bitch about my wife 2 much.
me an my kids would lost with out her.
22 yrs together this week.....
It's a 1973 100w Master Lead Mk II (reportedly once owned by the Allman Brothers Band - I bought it in Macon, GA). I bought the head but it blew the fuse everytime I hit a note so I stuck it in the attic for close to 20 years. The post office LOST one of my 2 Fender Deluxe 112's and I was running through a DSP, splitting it into stereo, so I sold the other one. I thought about the old head so I got it down and looked to see what it was. I Googled it and saw that one had recently sold on fleabay for over $6,000 (just the head!), so I decided to fix the thing. I broke it down, cleaned it inside and out, bought all new matching Russian tubes and a bottom cab only. Geez fucking Louise is that thing amazing!! The volume goes to 11. The tone is so incredible I can hardly believe it's mine. On 4 it will make your ears bleed but that's just the raw power of it and not considering the amazing classic Marshall crunch. This is the head that Jimi, Pete Townsend, and a bunch of early 70's stars played. Freaking head weighs about 60 lbs tho. That hints towards a full stack. Damn. Plexi? Yeah man I spent 2 years without playing, my left hand got really fucked up, coupla broken bones... My shredding days are over, learning to take it easy was not, well, easy... Still aches like a bastard after working on double-stops and whole tone bends, never mind two-handed taps which just might need to be forgotten about. I'm a HUGE fan of slow blues the way Jimi did it, using Red House to build strength again, still I can't manage half the licks yet
Nothing sucks like not being able to play. Hope you get your ladies back soon bro. When my wife is away I literally fall asleep with my Strat right there in the bed LOL...
congrats man!! me n the wifey just hit our 5yr (married lol )last month. cant wait till we can say we made it that far. good shit!Note to self-

Hendrix's "Red House" is my *favorite* blues tune of all time - hands down; nothing else even comes close. Shredding isn't the ideal to me, it's picking the right notes and hitting them just right, with the right tone. Steve Morse is my favorite player; he is just the master.
Yeah mine just rolls his eyes and walks on by! I sort of like it that way. We are just shy 30 years in on an LWoP.

"SHAKESHEAD" GZZ thats alot of soap! You have 50g tubs?Barrels? Morn, Hun...NB: Next time you decide to add 3/4 liter of dishwashing liquid to your reservoir TURN OFF THE FUCKING air pump. I opened the door to my flower room and it was floor to ceiling bubbles, charming, then out it came! I just stood there as it enveloped me and spilled over the banister to the landing below..... oh gawd.... I had to come downstairs for another shop vac..... yeah....
fun fun fun.... hub so used to me he didn't bother to comment he just walked right by me and the bubbles to bed!

That's doing work.On a positive note it appears thrips are a thing of the past. So in summation; I hammered pest eradication in the flower room, shampooed my carpet and bathed myself all at the same time! I am feeling pretty darn efficient right now.
