My First Grow - Hermie Question

Hi Folks! I am 50 and finally decided to try growing a couple plants in my backyard. Planted lots of bag seeds. 3 thrived. One turned male, killed it. One did fantastic but then started showing male. The other plant showed no sex and was 1/2 as big. I just let the male grow and then it started getting pistels - a hermie. It grew 7 ft tall with arms as big around as mine. As soon as the other plant showed female 2 wks ago, I cut down the hermie, cured it and am smoking it. It is about like cheap regs, definitely better than nothing. The only remaining plant is now flowering awesomely but I can see a few seeds pods starting to swell up. Should I just leave it alone or pick off the seed pods with tweezers? Any advice. When the seeds mature will they be any good? I am just using Miracle Gro/ Rose Gro and citrus tree granular fertilizer. My girl is almost 7 ft tall and a huge bush covered with flowers. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. I am thinking of moving to Cali and try to get into the biz. How hard is it?

wow you live in florida and are planting in your back yard? you got some balls the penalties are hard down there

anyways, bagseeds do hermie... i grow them myself but it all depends. more stress etc the higher chance of hermie. i just finally had one this past grow, out of 3 ounces dry i got ONE seed... i planted it this grow and its better then any plant ive grown. taller then the other 8 i got.. mine are indoor though.

basically what im saying is... stress causes hermie.. such as severe wind (which is often down there) no water etc...

about the cali endenvour the cost of living there is a bitch i hear, and electric costs are also a bitch. i would move to some other medical state like Colorado or Washington somewhere where the cost of living , electric and all the other expenses arent going to kill you.

you would have to dig and do research into the best state

I imagine it's going to be tough to get in the biz in those states, you'll be competing with growers that have many decades of experience. You may be better off somewhere like Illinois. The industry is just getting started there and you'll have a better chance of getting your foot in the door. You'll need some cash up front for licensing and code compliance, equipment and so forth.
