The 2nd amendment was written into the constitution to protect the citizens from an overreaching, tyrannical central government. As much as people try to say guns kill people and that people don't need guns, they don't even try to see the true reasons why people want them. If the number of firearms truly correlated with the number of murders, cities like Chicago and D.C. Would have lower rates of murders right?

Your right, handguns are banned in NYC, unless you have a full carry permit. Otherwise, it is 1 year mandatory. But as I have previously stated, you have one asshole drive down to SC, load up his car and come back and sell them. That's the was it is, and that is wrong. There are hardly any limitations in SC, as long as you have cash. That has a lot to do with the death by handgun facts in NYC.

yeah we should just abandon the constitution and adopt the plans of our brilliant thinkers like Burgertime, who clearly has it all worked out.

personal arms bans have worked out so well in mexico, wiemar germany, cuba, iran, north korea, china, etc etc etc.

dictatorships are doing it for our own good!

It would be a good start, I would start with a literacy initiative so you could read and comprehend. You are too lazy to read what I have read and too simple to make any real assertions. All these people who cant handle words about our beloved guns should just open up and take a bite of a loaded one.
