What's up folks. I agree with all that has been said, or at least the responses. Sally, everyone is giving you honest and sound advise. Take it for what it's worth. You really dug yourself into this hole you created with this thread. I guess that's what you learn in the army. lol. J/K, I know that's a sensitive spot, no harm intended. Anyhow, I would just suggest take all the good advise that's been given here, and run with it, far and fast. Get you some seeds, or clones, or tomatoes, peppers, whatever it is you wanna grow, and do the damn thang! You ain't gonna know til you try it. I would say plant a field outside and let it do it's thang, and start yourself and indoor garden so you can really get to know the plant, and it's characteristics, and all the lil intricacies that are involved in this lovely hobby/pastime of horticulture. I am the coolest guy i know........ and i grew 40 plants in a thimble with 1 40w incandescent bulb and a picture of fdd's happy plumber, got 10lbs. per plant beat that sally

In all seriouseness, sally if your reading, you can fit 40 plants in that space, but do they have room to grow? Will the roots outgrow the pots?

I'm going to grow my 40 plants indoors under 2-1000 watt hid with all the added equipment I listed in my first post. I'm going to veg for 3 months then flower for 2 under the best care money can buy. I plan to yeild 2to 5oz per plant - I would prefer 8oz but who knows?

Sounds more realistic, good luck. Oh, I will say buy some pest control now. Just because you are growing indoors does not mean you won't get them, so I suggest buying it now you will need it.

I put up a black and white plastic coat before the mylar that seals pests out completely. They have no chance of reaching my plant's. I figure since Im vegging for 3months and flowering for two I can yeild at least 8oz per plant. Four ounces would be satisfactory considering these peoples advise on this forum but 8oz would make me feel much better.
And since I'll only harvest so much I'm better off just using any strain that suits me instead of the high price top yeilding strains huh?

Being a total newb I assume I'm going to kill most if not all of my plants the first run because I'm going to do something stupid. Sure I've read up and bought books and such but real experience can't be equaled.
I applaud your enthusiasm but remember; you have to learn to walk before you can run.

I started by trying to germ roughly 16 seeds in dirt. I have now 7 healthy looking plants. Do an advanced search on my name and look up my grow journal. I think my second entry w/ pics is how I should have started, I would most likely have more plants. I think 8 plants would be good if you have the space, strictly my opinion, but I'm a newb.

What I dont understand is if 1 plant can yeild a pound under a 1000 watt hid light; why can't 5 plant's under the same light do the same? What, 1 plant is using up all the energy from the light? This does not make sense.
And to answer your question: You and I are 2 tottally different people and we have different beliefs. When I attempt something I always think about success not failure. I don't fear risk because I beleive I'm going to succeed. And If I dont succeed It must have not been my fault, and that's just how I look at it.
