Double Check My Wiring Bullshit...MiniFridge/Cfl's

My camera died, but I wanted to show that the fixtures are all on and work great no heat.

Full organic mini thread as soon as I get it sorted, thanks!

I posted this in the stealth micro section but here it is:
https://www.rollitup.org/stealth-micro-cab-growing/729297-double-check-my-wiring-please.html

So I am in the process of going to an DIY LED based cab as my winter project, but I need to get going now, because of MOLD in my outdo. I have ran the fridge before and in the process of redoing it almost new again.

I used 4 660v 2 wire sockets and I will use no more than 200w's of bulbs [mainly 26/23w's], but mostly about 100w.

..
My questions.

1. I used 14 gauge strand wire. I had 25 feet of it. All of the charts I have found says it will easily support over 10 amps and 600v's.....but 14/2 is expensive and this I had laying around NEW.

2. Is my wiring into the Terminal strip safe? I used one for the [-] side and one for the [+] side, wired the lights in parallel and then into a two wire cord. I filled all the ends with superglue.

3. On my fixtures I am going to super glue the leads. Mainly so I don't bump them unexpectedly, any problems with that?

4. I want to put some safety into the circuit. I want to put in at least a 5A fuse, but where?

Thank you!

New babies await.

mount your lights sideways, and put reflector on top. the end of the cfls are the dead point. not very hot at all and dont put out crap worth of lumens

You can run your 4 lights in parallel on one cord and hook straight into the wall. with no worries, i got 7 running parallel, and another 5 parallel, both hooked into a grounded power strip.

Well, I guess I will have to find a design I can make......

Crap you might be right, I should have looked at my last grow [pre-summer] Oops...I had them mounted horizontal, but with strips and plug in fixtures. Shit, but do I want to re-arrange it that bad?

This makes me think that I should have used a power surge strip I have, but what did you do with the ground [3rd wire]?

Thanks for chiming in siq..

There are dead spots in the horizontal mounts too!....that's why I went vertical this time to give it a chance.....[horizontal] I find that it tends to make these "wave" pattern's in the tops, even with vigorous LST. I guess I can try and supplement with some small LED's or something.... but I can see how underneath the bulbs in vertical will create "reverse pyramid" shapes, possibly.....

I can deal though [w/horizontal], obviously they produce and that was my 1st indoor grow basically, so I know I can do better.

i pluged my power strip into the wall, and hooked my timer on the strip.

Yeah CFLs have dead spots, but horizontal is best. When useing CFLs you should always have side lighting for better results.

An idea i used for mounting cfls sideways was to get two powerstrips mount them back to back with a 1by4 piece of wood inbetween and hang them with hooks coming from the wood. I bought the outlet to socket adapters and lined the power bars with 25 watt cfls, got 3 or 4 lights on each depending on size of power bar. I hung two of these and mounted two half ones on the walls of my cab, grew 4 1and half to 2 foot tall plants got a bout an ounce off each

Pat, I think you have a good idea.

Im thinking about doing a couple of stealth tubs or trash can grow, maybe this would work for it.....
