i'm white and call other white folks boy all the time. why do you take this as racist, just because your black. the dude was straight up asshole, no question there. you should have told him your gonna look real stupid goin home tellin your wife some "boy" kicked your ass!
The last boss I ever had, I quit her ass because she screamed in my face like a frantic lunatic. I had fucked up and stacked a pallet improperly and had to start it over so it was about 5 minutes of wasted time, but my shift manager saw it as the end of the world. She went on a power trip, telling me I was stupid and every other word was fuck this or fuck that.
So I dropped my hard hat literally at her feet and told her to do it herself. That was 12 years ago. I started my own business a few weeks after I quit.
About 3-4 years ago, she came into my store to apply for a front end receptionist position I had placed in the local paper. She didn't even remember me, but I quickly reminded her who I was, and the look on her face was priceless.
It was a small victory over an asshole manager that took over a decade to see through, and all though it was really by no doing of my own and just karma getting her ass, it was still sweet to have front row tickets to the show.

honestly i wasnt offended racially by it at all. racial bs dont even bother me. i was bugged because hes this 7 ft tall old dude lookin down on me callin me boy. i didnt consider the racial thing till after i left

i love the way u think. ur so right but honestly im not the cop callin suing type, i hate drama with a passion. id rather get em up right then n there, thats why this shit sucked so bad cus i couldnt. i swear had this same thing happened off the clock, i wouldve been tellin yall i had to put hands on an old dude or i got my ass wooped by and old dudeAssault (swinging door), battery (hitting you with door), hate crime (illustrated by calling you boy -- arguable but let's see what the security video shows). I wonder if the corporation he works for would like to know this.....I'm almost certain they'd fire his unstable ass.
Hmm any good tort attorney's up there by you? If so get that tape prior to it being overwritten and file a police report (to get the tape).
ive been thinkin about how to approach it, i know im gonna see his punk ass again soon. i dont think im even gonna say shit to him but if he pops off again shits gonna go badI agree with hemp, a word in this assholes ear when no one else is a round, just let him know you want treating with respect and the next time he refers to you as BOY! you will make him disappear and apply for his job.

eb, you cannot carry the last experience in with you because it is over. Remember it, but don't make it a continuation. Look around for cameras. The guy could have just found out he has nut cancer, or he could just be one of those angay all the time assholes. Be the pro you are, and if he pipes up again, keep your cool, while you mindfuck him into another fit of uncontrollable anger. With a little luck he will give you the legal opportunity to break his ass. Good luck.
