Greenhouse Seed Bank and DNA Genetics

Hi everyone. Just wanted to post a quick review so far of how we are making out with a few varieties from DNA and Greenhouse Seed Company.

There's been a TON of slamming Greenhouse Seeds, (actually if look around just about ALL the seed banks get some type of negative reviews), and we've come across every reason under the sun as to why anyone shouldnt use them but so far we've had no problems. We will be updating this thread regularly as things progress and see how everything turn out.

Greenhouse Seed Company - purchased 2, 5 feminized seed packs. 1) Exodus Cheese, 2) Variety Pack (Indica) White Rhino, TrainWreck, Great White Shark, Cheese and Lemon Skunk

DNA Seeds - purchased 6 feminized seeds, Holy Grail Kush

Seeds were placed in between two wet paper towels in Tupperware container, sealed with plastic wrap and placed in dark dry area, per breeders instructions.

24 hrs later, all DNA, Holy Grail Kush seeds popped, 4 Exodus Cheese popped, White Rhino, Cheese and Lemon Skunk popped.

48 Hrs later, TrainWreck seed popped

5 days later, last Exodus Cheese popped

10 days later and Great White Shark hasn't opened, consider it a dud.

After the seeds opened, they were placed a quarter inch under Promix in plastic cups and covered with plastic wrap.

All the seeds sprouted out of the soil in less then two days, with the exception of Train Wreck and a Holy Grail Kush. Train Wreck was damaged due to mishandling and Holy Grail Kush was lost as well, (just didn't take).

Ten days later this is where we are at. All the Greenhouse Seed plants look great and perky, the DNA plants are much more finicky to waterings and show signs of being more wet then they like. We will back off on the watering untill the root mass gets bigger.

Despite all the gloom and doom regarding poor germination rates and the rest from all the GreenHouse haters, we had zero problems with germinating and starting off these ladies. Only time will tell how they turn out but regardless of the out come we will keep every posted. Best of luck to all.

With GreenHouse stuff, it's not as much about germination as it is about overall quality of the finished product. It's sucks to wait 3+ months to find out their stuff is "B" grade. Not all of it mind you, but still a lot of it........

Not knocking greenhouse but I've tried their bubba kush and was very disappointed as I thought I'd be getting what they hyped it up to be,tried nirvanas bubblelicious and jeez it was what I expected greenhouses bubba kush to be,it was awesome. It could of been a bad batch a few years ago and could be better now but I've heard of other growers bashing greenhouse up to 2 years ago. That said I wana try train wreck so will be watching yours closely :). Good luck

22 Days after sprouting, minus the one Exodus Cheese that sprouted late. Just a minor defeciency issue that recently got corrected. Other than that, things are rocking along.

I'm not impressed with greenhouse seeds. I have a bubba kush that was supposed to be a female and it was a male. I have a trainwreck that has been flowering for 2 weeks and doesn't even show sex yet. I bet it's a male too. They germinate good but then take forever to grow wtf. I grew OG kush from DNA and it was the shittiest pot I ever grew at 10 weeks still no trichomes. I think that was a bad seed because I had some left over and put a new one in and it looks better at 2 weeks has some trichomes. Atleast their feminized seeds were actually females and sometimes you get a shit seed so I can't make a judgement on DNA yet. I will never waist my money on Greenhouse again.

Sorry to everyone that's been asking for an update, been pretty busy.

I will post a couple of pics later but in the meantime I wanted to let everyone know how things panned out.

All seeds but one from Greenhouse Seeds popped and ALL turned out to be female.

Exodus Cheese looks very nice and bushy. All plants are very uniform in growth.

White Rhino has beautiful, huge leaves. Very hardy.

Lemon Skunk is also huge and has a very nice aroma even as it's only vegging.

Cheese is chugging along also.

All the complaints I read regarding hermie seeds and poor growth from Greenhouse is unfounded so far.

DNA's Holy Grail Kush also ALL turned out to be female and is one of the smelliest plants growing. It is overpowering all the other odors in the room. Unfortunately, these plants all have very poor side branching, they all prefer to grow into a single stem.plant. They are also extremely sensitive to watering. Feeding it has been frustrating as it's really a finicky strain. Unless it sports some serious buddy, I would be hesitant about growing it again.

All the plants have been chopped for clones and will be flowering soon. I will keep everyone posted as to how that process pan's out.

Till then, good luck to everyone.

Snapped a couple of pics during the cloning process of the Lemon Skunk, Holy Grail Kush and Exodus Cheese. This was around day 32 after sprouting. The droopy leaves are the Holy Grail plants and are that way becasue the light jsut came on and they didnt have a chance to "perk up" yet.

32days later, all female3.jpg32dyaslater,allfemale2.jpg

I have grown Greenhouse Seeds Lemon Skunk, Ladyburn 1974, Superbud and Sweet Mango Auto. The Lemon Skunk was tasty and potent, the Superbud was so unique in its organoleptic properties, overwhelming stinky scent and overwhelmingly powerful stone. The Ladyburn 1974 was terrible, it had some leaf burning from a spraying accident but the other plants that had the same burns were far superior so that leads me to believe that I had a poor pheno or that the strain is no good. The Sweet Mango Auto I grew 3 seesa and got three phenos all of them good.

Overall I would purchase Greenhouse again if I was certain I would receive the right pheno or if someone grew it and I could see that the strain was worth it.

Thanks for the reply. Were your seeds all feminized ones? Appreciate the input on the Lemon Skunk, Im looking forward to her as she is bushy as hell and smells nice even in the veg stage.

Yeah there were all feminized and none of them showed hermies (as some feminized plants do). Please keep me updated on how she smells and grows during flower, I recieved a tall lanky pheno, so I'm eager to learn if the bushy one is just as good. I'm going to post some pictures of the Lemon skunk and Mangos.

Nice bro! Thanks again. Glad to hear another voice of success. That Superbud looks killer. I will definitely let you know how mine turn out!

Thanks man, the Superbud smelled like diesel fuel, feces, and wet rubber. The stone was knockout, couchlock, and a little psychedelic.

Are you doing a grow journal about your ladies? I would love to see the progression and what your technique is.
